eBay's Live Chat Option?

Ask a Question

I remember it used to be available but now I don't see it any more, and rather if the customer wants help then he/she has to call eBay?! Unbelievable.

I wanted and still do want to get in touch with eBay because I have an order which I've never been able to pay because the seller never got back to me and I can't simply cancel it myself. At first I had thought, it's midnight so it's not available but now it's 12:40 P.M. so there's no reason not to, besides eBay possibly reducing their staff.

Note: You can contact eBay by email but the ideal method would have been Live Chat, though that's no longer in use.

This is frustrating and I agree that it was much easier with the live chat option. I recently had a problem and took a chance on the community forum for help. Amazing people with a lot of ebay knowledge had me sorted within 10 minutes with lots of advice from many members. Worth a try if you need advice quicker than an email.

I sent eBay an email a day ago and still nothing. 😞

If it was something really worrisome in regards to eBay I'd really have to call them but then who knows if I'd have to wait 15-30mins and if the eBay rep could even speak English.

PayPal on the other hand has become A LOT better! Live chat, community of members, a debit card w/cashback 0.5% (which is deposited at the end of the month), PayPal Here (card reader for anyone starting a business and want to offer customers a way to pay by card), etc.

Have you tried phoning them? I have spoken with them on the before to resolve an issue I had and their customer service over the phone was fantastic!

I haven't called them because it's such a miniscule task they'd be able to take care of in an instant.
