Elon Musk and the Baby Name

Ask a Question

This site doesn’t recognise the characters, so I’ve just done a screen shot of the name

The name is indeed a bit ‘out there’ and one of the more unique names I’ve see in the western world - Musk is certainly leaving his legacy

May the 4th as well!

Have you come across any other unique names lately? Image

No thought given to the child whatsoever. How is he going to feel as an adult? I hope it gets rejected.

I think the problem is too much thinking has gone into the name, in the sense that they thought about how he could grow up and then take a shuttle to live with the fairies...not from this world at all

It's ridiculous. And I say that as someone who gave their child an unconventional name (albeit an actual word).

Lol as long as the name can be accepted for ID and passports, that is all that is necessary

I can't think of many names that are more stupid than this one. Elon, whilst being very rich, must be a sandwich short of a picnic! 🐞

Utterly bonkers. I feel sorry for the child, I mean growing up trying to spell it, not to mention teachers trying to work out how on earth to pronounce it. Just ridiculous.

I have a feeling this child will not be living a normal life, judging by the moment he was named

California won't accept the name by the looks of it

As for Elon Musk, the term "batsh!t crazy" was never more deserved

Lol not surprised by this at all. I wonder if Musk is now going to have a rant about it

You'd think on 4 May you'd be able to get away with a Star Wars name more easily, like Chewbacca, but this is really ridiculous.

Wealthy and famous individuals often like to give their children unusual names. It's certainly attention seeking and probably indicates a desire to mark themselves as different from everyone else. This isn't exactly a new trend. There were also a lot of out-there hippie names in the 60s ☮️

Just another way for them to ensure they have the spotlight, even if only temporarily. If the character is pronounced 'Ash' then Ash is perfectly fine

He's mad. We're talking about a bloke who is sending thousands of satellites into orbit just to improve WiFi. His latest car looks like something out of Blade Runner drawn by an 8 year old with a ruler. Let's be realistic here. That child is going to lead a very bizarre life so an unconventional name is the least of their worries. Who knows? Elon may have started a trend as well.
