Elon Musk Satellites
In the News
Anybody see them going over tonight? We saw a brief streak of light but I was looking down at the wrong moment.
I've completely missed it,
I will check on youtube if anyone took any footage, very interesting x
It's every night until at least Friday. If you look online, you can find out when they are visible in your area and which direction to look.
It'll only increase anyway because he's launching 12,000 of them and only 120 are up there so far.
I thought one of you lot would appreciate this. I stood outside with the other half in cold weather just to get a glimpse. They are coming over at a slightly different time tonight.
For anybody interested in a break from shopping and TV, this website tells you when those satellites will be passing over your area: https://findstarlink.com. It'll be a short break to be fair. They go over quickly.
Went out last night at the right time to see loads fly over, but didn't see any! Plenty of stars though so not sure why I couldn't see them. I'll try again tonight.
Tom MeestairChrees I couldn't spot them last night but it's worth a look just to see the stars and Venus too. There are some good apps that show which star is which as well using the compass in your phone as you move it.
Spotted Venus easily (presumably the brightest 'star'). But looked again last night at the right time and no satellites again. No idea why.
Was out last night, good clear view of Venus, (wish I still had my telescope) stars just starting to appear - then cloud and more cloud. I'll keep watching.

Sorry, the latest Starlink isn't very visible at your location during the next 5 days. This might change in the coming weeks, due to changing orbits. If you'd like, I can automatically email you a few days before they will be visible at your location (no spam, promise):
Dennab oops, thanks, taken the co-ords off, but have to say when I put mine in the went back to what was already there.
This is the site I've been using. Seems better at giving details of what you *should* see (I still haven't, yet), like the amount of satellites and can even show you what they'll look like over your house using what I assume is Google Maps Street View!
Launching now...
Look to the West in about 10 mins as it should be coming over the UK again.
Haven't seen the satellites but I did see the meteor shower which was really strange, kind of like bright stars moving across the sky then fading out.
