Enjoying Wildlife and Nature
Other
Are you enjoying change in the weather.. the sight of pretty flowers.. birds mating and having babies I like many people, love nature and was so pleased to see baby goslings up close.. the parents let me feed them but they did keep their beady eyes on me too

I saw a family of Goslings in Leonardslee Gardens the other day.Love watching nature doing it's own thing.

I have a robins nest near my back door and they return to the same place every year to nest. They produce three lovely chicks. .

Absolutely love watching nature every chance I get. Just been away recently and love the new different species I come across

I took my son for a walk to the park and there were baby ducklings. He was fascinated by them. There are sheep in the field across from my parents house and my son loves feeding them.

Nadiaparveen they live in the countryside. There are horses, cows, ducks and chickens nearby, he loves seeing them.

I think I have mice nesting in the garden, I’ve just seen two. I hope the cat next door sees to them Or the local owl.

Yes we've seen lots of baby ducks at the river recently, it's a lovely time of year.

Yeah we have lots of ducklings, goslings and cygnets. When you sit at the bench the come right up. My little boy loves it. Unfortunately we have the annoying seagulls and there's young too. That gets terrifying swoop kids, dogs anything and anyone really.( That's the bit I don't like about this time of year) I like to take a walk and look for tadpoles haven't found any yet.

I love it On our golf course the ducklings follow their mum into the ponds (but never find and retrieve my ball ) .
The sad part is the Pheasants who wander around and rarely bother to fly (though they can ) and I see their remains every day on the roads around here . I suppose it's the way of the world ?

Golfforall it's not sad if you pick them up and take them home as roadkill though.
I believe that if you knock one over in your car, you're not allowed to get it, but the car behind can. That used to be the law, anyway.
Had a cuckoo here today. Wasn't for long, but was good to hear, even though they're horrible gets to other birds.

TheChimp Such a beautiful bird - haven't hit one this year (yet) . I know they are on the roads for the insects . They look up when they hear a car but sedately wander off when they could fly . I drive slowly so they are safe from me , but they even wander across the A1 near here - rarely ends well !

Thankyou for this topic. So lovely to have a discussion about the positive side of life. I’m sitting here watching starlings have a bath in the pond at the moment.

It's lovely to see wildlife and nature. We are lucky enough to have a big-ish garden and we get lots of birds. They cost a fortune to feed though but we try to keep feeding them.

Im with you on this. I think its so good for the soul to get out into nature. Really going to make the most of my garden this summer...
