Euro 2020 Football
In the News
So, is everyone looking forward to the delayed Euro Competition kicking off tonight?
I have to say it's crept up on me a bit and I'm not yet fully immersed, I'm hoping once it starts I'll get a little more enthused.
Yep, I'm looking forward to it even though the bookies don't think that Wales will win a single game. But they thought that back in 2016 and we got to the semis.
I think if Wales can get anything out of their game with Italy they stand a good chance of going far.
blacklabrador *edit - having watched the Italy/Turkey game I think most teams are going to struggle to get anything out of a match with Italy.
But Turkey look beatable for the Welsh.
I am not a football supporter, so I will be spending more time on my tablet when my husband is watching this
beccatavender Very true, no sooner will this tournament be over than players will be reporting back for pre season training.
blacklabrador Iโm with beccatavender! My OH is a big football fan, so Iโll be on my iPad! Thereโs nothing much on to watch anyway on tv. Well done to Wales this evening against Turkey - it seems in like osmosis!!
Myhubbys gone to the pub to watch the match,so I have the hose to myself, freedom ! gerrykelly25
beccatavender who is he supporting? Or does he just love football like my husband?
He is supporting England, but watched all the games regardless of who is playing. But as I am Welsh, I hope he's supporting them gerrykelly25
beccatavender Ireland didnโt make the cut this year, so I think we are fairly impartial here! Iโll keep my eye on Wales with you in mind!
I like watching the Euro but I doubt Iโll be able to see much if any because everyone else will want to watch other things.
Although a lot of the normal tv has been moved around.
I had a worried phone call from my Mum today because Coronation Street has been moved to the ITV Hub, I see a visit to her coming tomorrow so I can talk her through how to watch it.
Aha, just noticed the England Croatia game is the first one of the day, may have to go and grab some sausages and bbq briquettes myself tomorrow.
Win/Win then, That warm feeling of England doing well, or some vouchers in your back pocket.
Going to be a fight on Friday in my house! Hubby is Scottish and my son and I English.
I am half Scottish but born and bred in England, our son is half Scottish but same as me, grew up in England.
I'm in the doghouse for having arranged to see my daughter on Sunday. We'll record England's game but as she lives next to a pub we'll probably be able to guess the result.
blacklabrador he's threatening to but as we haven't seen the family for a while it would be a bit rude
Sweet Baby Jesus and the Orphans, the Wales game was hard to watch. How we managed to draw the game is unbelievable.
Manager had the game plan wrong imo.
Never mind, roll on to the Turk contest.
SilverSurfer Not so much on the offside, but the Swiss should have been given a penalty when one of our lot grabbed their shirt.
Horrendous, you fear the worst when a very fit person collapses like that.
Thankfully it sounds like he is responding well to treatment.
My husband watched this, they have released that Christian Eriksen 'was gone' after cardiac arrest, reveals Denmark team doctor. But thankfully he is now stable, wish him a speedy recovery blacklabrador
I'm looking forward to watching England tomorrow not got flags on car at minute though not even got any
I'm living in Scotland now but I am an Englishman and been wondering whether to stick my England flag up
Another thing about the football with people complaining saying that football is on I don't like Eastenders or Coronation Street or Emmerdale I just turn it over plus it's nice that it's not on Sky Sports or BT with cost of extra money
Exactly, it's free, it may inject some much need positivity into England, Scotland & Wales, and it will do retailers and pubs the power of good.
Usually only watch the World Cup, but as my household is both England and Scotland, we will be watching.
Oh my days, sometimes being a Wales supporter is hard.
That was one hard game to watch, but it looks like we're through to the next round.
My head is in the shed
TheChimp it was hard to watch even if you are English! At this stage I support all British teams but it won't last.
