Planning to go to europe trip for two days along with kids. Please post some suggestions with cheaper expenses
I always find making packed lunches to go out or stopping in a supermarket and picking up some rolls, cooked chiken/ham etc for lunch saves quite a bit of money. Eating out can be quite expensive.
I definitely agree with KirsteyJames - supermarket for picnic lunches. It can be fun to discover the local produce like meats and bread. You will find that a lot of the fresh salad items quite cheap and the fruits tend to be irregular shaped but huge! If you eat out then eat with the locals who will always go the the most fairly priced locations that serve good food.
Forgot a really important point to save money - check the offers on bus hopping tickets as it can save an absolute fortune compared to the everyday charges. If you have already picked a destination then add it to the thread and you will get more tips from members who have been there.
