Jack Charlton's a hero so I'd say even being in the same shop counts as a meeting!!! πŸ˜‰

Ive met loads of F1 drivers past and current and accidently once stood on Murry Walkers foot 😳. But I also used to work in central London days gone by and used to see alot of people out and about. Think the most famous would have been James Brown he had two minders either side of him that where absolutely huge

Wow, neo1, that's so stinking cool that you've met loads of Formula One drivers! How did Murray Walker react when you stood on his foot? Which driver you have met was the nicest to you?

kfe202 Murry was cool, just said "dont worry about it son" when i apologised. Nicest driver would have to have been Rubens Barrichello, he'd remembered me from a year earlier and always had a good conversation. Jackie Stewart is a nice chap too

neo1 That's so cool! You're so lucky to have met so many giants of F1. You're so right that Jackie Stewart is a nice guy. How nice that Barrichello remembered you too!

I met the old King of Spain once when we encountered each other in a public park and had both gotten away from the people who were supposed to be looking after us. He asked me how I liked Spain and gave me a tip where to find the best roses in the botanical garden.

I used to work for a charity and we ran a campaign about raising young people’s aspirations called When I Grow Up. LOTS of celebrities gave their time and were photographed in the role they wanted to be as a child. The photographs were then auctioned to raise money.

We took some children to London to the gallery on press night to meet some of the celebrities -

Linford Christie, Trevor Nelson, Judi Dench, Chris Tarrant, Beverley Knight to name a few.

The best - Manolo Blahnik, who was quite serious but spent a lot of time with the children telling them if they worked hard, anything was possible. Anita Dobson and Richard Bacon were also lovely.

The worst - Graham Norton who was quite sullen and stand offish.

You're so kind to have gone to all that effort to help children. Sorry to hear that Graham Norton behaved like a bit of a jerk. Glad to hear that many of the other celebrities got behind your efforts. What was Judi Dench like to you?

kfe202 she was really down to earth and quite funny. The children didn’t recognise her and were more interested in other celebrities. She went around the room with them introducing them to the celebrities they were excited about.

gerrykelly25 So awesome of Judi Dench to lead with what the children were interested in and actually use the fact that the kids didn't recognise her to help them get what they wanted. How refreshing to hear of a celebrity being humble and putting the children's needs first! You have made my day with this story. Thanks for sharing!

gerrykelly25 keepitjijjy My dad was told on more than one occasion that he looked like Larry Lamb, when he was in Eastenders.

Sad about Graham Norton. I love his chat show & always thought he would be very friendly. Perhaps he was having a πŸ’© day.

When my mother in law was mayor, we met David Essex and Wet, Wet, Wet when they turned on the Christmas lights. They were great fun and had a few drinks in the town hall with us after!

Also met Mo Mowlam via my mother in law. An honour and a privilege.

Robson Green I think used to live near my school. We would often see him playing tennis on the courts near to our school. Saw him on a couple of occasions driving about etc. Never spoke to him tho.

Hermonine Norris while filming Wire in the Blood used to frequently pop into the shop over the road from us. My OH spoke to her on 2 occasions. He said she was a lovely, friendly & pleasant lady.

I have met a lot of famous people. Mostly footballers and love islanders. I went to a private beauty conference with Kaz from love island teaching us techniques. There was only about 30 people there so I got to speak to her for half an hour. I met Ovie, India, Gabby from love island. And I also got to meet Marcel from love island in person, we talked for a bit. I met Joe Swash when I was little and he told me I was cute

keepitjijjy Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see your message till now. It's so hard to choose, it was lovely meeting Joe, I was about to go into the theatre to watch him in a pantomime and he walked past me when I was about 4. He stopped when he saw me, introduced himself and he told me how cute and sweet I was. And later when he was on stage he waved at me. I met a lot of famous actors that way, a lot of them came over to me at butlins or at a show to say hello when I was little xx
