Do You Ever Watch a Film Again and Find You Dont Remember Anything?
Ask a Question
Last night I watched One Chance on Netflix, it's the story of Paul Potts, Oprera singer . I know I went to the pictures to see this, as it was filmed in Port Talbot, my home town.
But when I watched it last night, I didn't remember anything. Have you experienced this ?
Occasionally, I'll rewatch a film after a number of years and will forget certain elements, such as how it ends. I don't always remember titles of less interesting films. On occasion I'll start a film and realise I've watched it before.
That's the only benefit I can think of, of senile dementia that you can watch all the best movies ever as if its the first time you have ever watched them or listen to music as if its the first time too.
For a long time I have always been like, 'I have never seen that film before' when someone has told me that I have. Only half way through I have said, 'oh yeah, I remember it now!' Ha ha!!
This is exactly like me! Or other times I know I have DEFINITELY watched it, know I REALLY liked it, but just can't remember the details until half way through rewatching it
I wouldn't say I don't remember anything, but there are times when I rewatch a film I saw years ago and feel like I don't remember the details, the specific scenes, just the general idea. I watch a lot of films, so I think some stick in my mind more than others.
Was you drunk you may of been half asleep. Or simply not concentrating. I’ve never had that for a complete film. But I’ve noticed parts that I have missed before.
I hadn't had a drink, the only scenes I vaguely remembered were ones where I recognised locations in Port Talbot, didn't remember anything else. I told my sister and she said I didn't rate it the 1st time around but enjoyed it the 2nd time
I'm glad I'm not the only one! I recently watched/rewatched Layer Cake and I can remember saying to my husband they are getting their £ worth out of this, but I thought Daniel Craig why not? I know I must have watched it several times but I couldn't remember the ending, had I fallen asleep all the other times
yep ...I'm the same ... part I think cos i don't concentrate enough, if I'm honest! Am going to look out 'One Chance' ...thanks
