How is Everyone Finding the 2nd Lockdown in Britain
Ask a Question
Ever since the lockdown started in england , i have continuously felt we are not in lockdown , maybe because i still remain in education and football and other sports are continuing to be played . Has anyone else got this feeling ??
I feel exactly the same. I do not have a life this year at all. I am incredibly bored. I have been living through the lives of my nephews and nieces who live abroad. It makes me happy seeing them having such a lovely time over there
I'm finding this lockdown a bit easier, mostly because I know what to expect this time.Still sucks having to do it though.
Very different from the first one. In March a lot of shops that could stay open still decided to close. This time round most of them have remained open, including my local chip shops, which is a relief. I haven't had to queue anywhere yet. There does appear to be less people around, but things are much more relaxed this time round.
It certainly feels different this time. I went to the supermarket today and even though the highstreet was quieter, its nothing like it was first time around.
Many places are still open where I am and there has been no panic buying either (thankfully). There has certainly been less people around than of late, but apart from that everything's not really much different.
I work in an essential business so I have been told and have noticed no difference other than phone calls to ask if we are open. But way way to many things are open that I don't feel are in any way essential, traffic on roads is no different, I don't feel it's working as it should
The lockdown has never bothered me. I spent 9 months in isolation starting in November 2018 when my son was born. We were only allowed out to go to his hospital or drs appointments. That was it. I wasn't even allowed to take him for a walk around the houses. I spent the entire time inside my house, got all the shopping delivered and only left once a month, if that for appointments, which involved making sure he had his protective plastic covering over his pram and making sure no one other than the drs came into contact with him. We weren't allowed visitors to our house.
When they announced there would be a lockdown we said that's fine, it will be like before but this time with a healthy child. I've never found the lockdown hard. I go out once a week to do the food shop and thats it. I don't mind staying in the house to keep my family, friends and strangers safe.
I have hardly been out since the March lockdown so it's makes little difference to me. The roads here in the countryside are still fairly busy with tractors and lorries but far less residential vehicles. The cattle are still in the field behind us which is great, they 'moo' to let us know that they are around, it's just what we moved here for; the peace and quiet and that is what we have.
We're coming out of the Welsh fire break tomorrow. Thought it was pointless as the numbers haven't really changed neither have people's behaviour. Saying that, I stay at home and barely leave the house. Just have to get through the winter as safely as we can x
Doesn't sound or feel like a lockdown here, still the normal amount of traffic, i live near a school aswell so there isnt any difference there, the parents seem to think they are all immune by the number of them not wearing masks stood chatting to each other. But cant say otherwise as i haven't been out
It’s a shame
We have reached this point but I guess for everyone’s safety this is how it needs to be.
People were not made to be locked in their houses, except criminals in their jail cells.
Lockdowns don't really help anything neither do curfews (as if the virus takes a break during 8pm till 8am, e.g.). It ultimately just crushes the economy, makes people unemployed and frustrated that they can't freely walk and drive where they want and need to.
There's more to it than just about a virus, but the majority haven't done their homework so they think this is "conspiracy theory."
When COVID-19 was first announced I took it seriously, but months passed, I did my research and then came to a realization.
