Examples of Good Customer Service
Other
A thread to share your experiences of recent good customer service. Did a company go out of their way to assist you? What stores have extremely nice staff? Who do you recommend?
I'd like to mention Argos. I've used their same day home delivery twice now as I don't live near an Argos anymore. I have been able to pick a time slot and have received text messages constantly advising me of what time my orders are arriving and their deliveries have been spot on time! Also both drivers were very friendly.
The Body Shop next as I've been there twice in the last month for samples and staff couldn't of been any more helpful and polite and friendly, despite me not actually buying anything, just claiming free samples.
Dorset cereals - after I emailed to complain I had over 400 points from their mini games and spin the wheel, there was nothing to do with those points. Received an email the same day apologising and offering me 2 boxes of cereal. This email was sent on Friday and yesterday afternoon 2 boxes of Luscious Berry and Cherry arrived. Very nice gesture of them. (They assure me a competiton to win a holiday is coming and the shop to trade points for items will be open soon, so keep playing the games.)
Amazon
I messaged Amazon yesterday about a pre-order price drop and instead of getting the order price decreased, she refunded it to my credit card instead which was weird since that just seemed an unnecessary step to take. As such, I just ended up on topping that amount on Amazon and then re-ordered the pre-order. Meh, Amazon could have definitely handled this better by just reducing the price on my order but whatever.
eBay
Just moments ago I was chatting to an eBay rep about a £40 fee so here's what he did to solve the issue; Since I had another 99p final value fee offer available he used that to cover the charge and now I'll be getting that amount refunded.
The whole point of selling at eBay was the 99p fee incentive rather than an overpriced fee.
