Miss Begum: Face the Court or Stay Away?
Ask a Question
So watching gmtv this am miss begum doing a 45 min interview on why England should let her return and “apologising “. Do we believe her or is this a ploy
I'd say it's a ploy as sajid javif who made the decision to revoke her citizenship said if we heard what he heard we'd do the same
She made her choice when she decided to leave the UK, no point trying to crawl back now.
Actions have consequences.
Ditto.
There is a lot of value to having citizenship / passport for a Western country, and especially if it's U.K., U.S., Germany, Canada or Australia.
No wonder she doesn't want it revoked, but what she did is unforgivable. However, I'd not be surprised if Germany or Canada took her in.
I can't believe Trudeau is the Prime Minister of Canada as he's doing a terrible job, then again the same can be said for most Western countries. I've not voted for years since Western countries favor leftist politicians and I'd prefer a center/right politician (Boris is a "Conservative" than a Conservative).
The mistake she made was when she was first interviewed and said ,quote '' She wanted to return to the UK to raise her child, but did not regret her decision to join ISIL. She said she had been unfazed by seeing the head of a beheaded man as he was "an enemy of Islam"
That was her big mistake, it shows how she really feels , having no regrets
Thats why she is hated so much
The government would have to spend millions protecting her from the british public and giving her a new identity
Now she is saying she can help boris fight terrorism as he doesnt know what to do
I doubt she can help. its just a ploy to get back, but what she said about boris at least is true and thats concerning everything
Its whos bed she would choose that worries me T
Especially if its the one with the AK47 propped up against the bedpost
There can be no way back for people like her how long to she falls in with extremist again and commits a unspeakable act on British soil
Sadly for her she has has ample chances to change - but then didnt take them. She will have to live with that now. I doubt that she would be able to help the government that much.
I didn't see the interview, but I do agree with the UK stance of her having her UK citizenship revoked.
I have heard people defending saying she was 15 when she left the UK and she had been "groomed" but it's a case of you made your bed.....
I don't think she could be trusted.
Extreme islam views do so much damage to the countries where these people reside and often it spills out into the west with terrorism. I don't even care about whether her dual citizenship is valid. They say she has Bangladesh citizenship but that country probably won't even exist in a few decades as the country is extremely vulnerable to rising sea levels. I don't think Bangladesh want her but clearly she would be a huge drain of finances over here. It's nice to be idealistic but realistic is where we need to be and if we can prevent her coming back that is definitely the right choice for multiple reasons in the UK.
Afghanistan is definitely the right country for her. It's now an islamic state and follows Sharia law which she wanted. Ok she might starve to death or have no access to even basic medical care but at least it will be an islamic community. What happened to her husband anyway?
I believe Sajid Javid when he said no one would let her become a British citizen after the evidence he saw.
Absolutely not, as others have said above 'actions have consequences' and she should not be allowed to waltz back here pretending to be sorry.
I don't believe her. The 'western look' was clearly to make her look more appealing to the UK public. Very calculating. I think Sajid Javif made the right decision.
It seems to me she will say/do anything to get out of the dump she lives in. The hated Western way of life doesn't seem so bad in her current circumstances. No family no friends and deserted by the men who got her into this predicament by her own choice.
I have a really big problem with her attitude and way of speaking especially in that interview. She came across as a stroppy teenager still reciting words put in her mouth by others, in this instance do gooders who probably have their own agenda.
She appeared healthy and well dressed. Maybe she could show by her actions her contrition by helping others and building a life that might one day stand her in good stead for a return.
What surprised me with the interview was her appearance considering she is in a Refugee camp. she was well dressed had Make up on, nail varnish on , rings on her fingers and a newish looking watch, not the sort of appearance I associate with someone in a Refugee camp .
I don't think she should be allowed back here. Some of the comments she's made in the past show her true feelings. As others have said, she has to deal with the consequences of her actions now.
I think its good she finally realises that she was manipulated and what she said in previous interviews was wrong but she made her bed now she should lie in it.
