Facebook Removing Posts

Ask a Question

Anyone else having a problem with FB removing their comments when entering competitions? Mine have all been when the competition provider askes you to post a specific word in the comments and I get a wrist slap with "your comment go against our Community Standards".

I managed to see the comment you tagged me in but when I clicked like it said the comment had been removed. I still have absolutely no idea why this is happening to you.

It's not just me, our 'third' tagger is having real problems. I'm going to be very selective which FB ones I do.

MrsCraig Have you been told off? I got your last tag and tagged back and had no FB comeback (yet) 😦

MrsCraig Just had another - this was in response to the original single word CHATEAU getting removed for the same reasons.

Your comment goes against our Community Standards on spam

No one else can see your comment.

We have these standards to prevent things such as false advertising, fraud and security breaches.

I would really like to enter this competition and have completed all the stages required 1) LIKE 👍 this POST & our Facebook PAGE

2) COMMENT 👇⌨️ 'CHATEAU' below

3) TAG 🗯️ a Friend for an Extra Entry!

I had it the other day on the Latest Deals "Win a Nintendo" Competition.

It asked for those wishing to enter to post a screenshot showing they had the Latest Deals Black Friday App.

I did this but it did not show up, even after a refresh and a cookie cleanse.

So I did it again and that too disappeared.

Fast forward 12 hours and Facebook sent me a warning stating my posts went against their spamming guidelines.

Seems it's not only on here that entering competitions is becoming hard work.

It's getting a bit silly (unless it's a bug) but there's no way of redress. I only commented 'Wow that's a great prize'. 🙄 🤐 😆

sunny101 Yep, that's it. Welcome to the FB Silly Club. I've had three in 5 days all for simple comments on a competition.

yeah it seems a lot of one worded answers or double posts are getting taken down and spam warnings being placed on them, looks random as well as not everyone is getting them only a select few

I don't bother with social media comps partly for that reason.

I don't usually, but my warning came after I tried entering one on the Latest Deals Page.

I'm really not sure what FB is doing. After receiving a 'friend' request from a doubtful site I reported it. This was the response. We didn't remove Fairfaxx Favoor's profile, our technology reviewed your report against our Community Standards. Ultimately, we decided not to take the profile down.

We take action on profiles that pose a danger to other people or are harmful to the community. But I get wrong and removed for entering competitions!

Oh and I must 2 or 3 a day friends requests from dodgy sites and also Martin Lewis has a big campaign where he sued facebook for letting advertisements of him advertising bit coin . I reported it and they said it was being allowed . Problem is I was sharing it with Martin Lewis each step and he wasn't happy .

Thats bizarre but it happend to me . I had to post a comp to share on facebook as the rules said I had to . I shared and there are people who ask me to tag them in which was also 1 of the rules as well .

Jump forward to the next day and the facebook police said you bad man you went against the community standards .

To top it off I also said I was watching Commando with my son and part 2 of being a bad man as it went against the community standards .

Waiting with anticipation to complete my hat trick .
