Fainting Goats

Other

I have just discovered that there is such a thing as a fainting goat. They're just like normal goats, but they fall over.

Have you a video you can share? An explanation of when and why they fall over?

The Myotonic or Tennessee Fainting is an American breed of meat goat. It is characterised by myotonia congenita, a hereditary condition which may cause it to stiffen or fall over when startled. It may also be known as the Fainting, Falling, Stiff-legged or Nervous goat, or as the Tennessee Wooden Leg.

The sad issue with these goats is that they are often used as decoys for more valuable flocks. Their tendency to faint when scared allows the rest of the animals to flee whilst they end up as the sacrifice.😢
