Are You a Fan of the Hermes Birkin Bags?

I do love a good handbag, and now and again I may treat myself to a bag that I can imagine using forever
but I can’t get my head round why the Birkin bag has become so popular? It’s quite big, an awkward shape and size for everyday use - yet they can sell for thousands, if not hundreds of thousands?
I have been looking online to see where I can get up close and personal with one of these bags to have a closer look, but there’s a waiting list? So it’s like I’ll never know what it’s all about 
I'm not a fan. I don't like how it looks and I would never pay those prices for a bag! Saying that I haven't used a proper handbag since i had my son, changing bags for me! Although my husband did buy me a lovely Ted Baker one in the sales. Ted Baker is the most designer that my bags go and I only ever buy them in the sales as full price is still expensive to me!
I understand what you mean. I used to love buying bags but Ive stopped myself as you end up with loads that simply aren’t practical and just gather dust. And if you have an expensive one you might be too afraid to use it in case it gets damaged
I love the Hermes Birkin design! I would be delighted to own one but need to win the lottery first!
lol yes they’re expensive, but from what I’ve read, they’re proper investment pieces, quite lucrative these days
I like them. There stylish looking bags definitely an investment piece, but if I had money to burn on such things it wouldn't be my choice due go its size. I prefer a cross body bag. I'd far rather own a classic CHANEL flap bag. 
I agree that there are other bags that are better. I was looking at some mulberry bags recently, and Chanel is indeed a staple. Louis Vuitton seems a popular choice too
hspexy Yeah, I'm not a fan of Louis Vuitton bags at all. There popularity has always amazed me.
