Iβm having a bbq tomorrow with my partner and son. Looking for some new things to try on the bbq.
What would you recommend?
We having one tomorrow aswell having peri peri drumsticks, burgers, steak with peppercorn butter, garlic bread, mushrooms and waffles.
For a really unusual bbq try putting apples or my favourite bananas on when cooking down
Imnotcheap omg that sounds amazing! Peppercorn butter banana sounds a fab idea my some would love it. Thankyou x
Minted Lamb chops and steak are my fave when doing a small bbq.
Also, had a work bbq a few years back and they put a slit down the inside of a banana, added chocolate inside, wrapped in foil and put on bbq....yummy!!!
My favourite is minted lamb . We often do prawn skewers, add peppers onion etc with chilli garlic sauce. Yum!
Home made bbq sauce. Coffee bbq sauce is great with spar ribs bake potatoes. Ham burgers i never cook chicken on the bbq because it takes a long time to cook and you got to make sure its well cooked. Bananas or pineapples cooked in Marple or honey then wrapped in foil and put on the bbq very yummy hope have a lovely time and the weather is good to you
Simple but tasty...marinate chicken in tikka paste and creme fraiche. Bbq and serve in fresh pitta bread with salad!
GmcK85 I've been using this recently for chicken tikka.....

Just add some of the seasoning and a bit of water.
Very handy if you don't have much time to marinate your meat.
Try some swordfish, seared salmon or homemade tuna burgers instead of the usual meat. Fish is sooooo good for you
Mackerel is good on a BBQ. If you start chicken off in the oven you can finish it on the BBQ alongside your pork steaks and chicken tikka skewers. Corn on the cob and onions (you'll need a foil tray for the onions!) I hope you had a good time, what did you actually cook in the end?
tumblespots we had corn on the cob which was lovely, burgers, and chicken and chorizo. Quite basic, didnβt have a lot of time we had a burst pipe and the plumber had to be called out so bbq was later than planned also
possy Oh no, I hope it was all fixed successfully. Doesn't that always happen at the weekend! Glad your BBQ still went ahead, it sounds lovely.
