Hi all, I'm going to be making a couple of cakes for a charity event at work. What are your favourite cakes / flavours? That will help me decide on which cakes to bake! Thanks!
Mmmm yes, warmed through and served with cold vanilla ice cream 
. A cream filled victoria sponge is yum too, especially chocolate sponge. Can't remember last time I ate cake now I have given up sugar!
Carrot cake. That's my favourite cake. Or just a plain Victoria sponge cake.
Chocolate brownies, caramel shortcake, custard slice, carrot cake or with Halloween fast approaching, pumpkin cake 
Courgette and Lime cake is good! A maltesers cakes is pretty tasty...and you can't go wrong with a chocolate cake...you gotta have chocolate!!
gaelle0501 It is unusual! I first tried it in a cafe when I went to visit my aunt and uncle in the shires...I enjoyed it so much, I made one myself

That sounds aweso! I'm going to have to find a recipe for that! My favourite is good old chocolate cake 
Vanilla sponge cake, with chocolate mascarpone icing and any kind of chocolate like Ferrero rocher, mint aero, kinder bueno stuck on top drizzled with toffee sauce 
Chocolate fudge cake, Carrot cake, salted caramel cake, malteser cake, lemon drizzle cake, red velvet cake, lemon meringue pie.
Chocolate and Guinness cake with Chocolate ganache (made with dark chocolate and caramel) is heaven!! You can't taste the Guinness, it just gives a more fudgy rich consistency to the cake. :-) so yummy!!
