What is Your Favourite Film Genre?

Ask a Question

I personally love thrillers or comedies, I don't watch horror as I am too much of a scardy cat, but it's my son's favourite type. What do you like watching?

Comedy, romance, history, action, drama. As long as it isn't a horror film I will watch most things.

I love horror, comedy, romance, hallmark Christmas movies, fantasy and thriller. I love musicals at the moment. I think the phantom of the opera is a beautiful movie. The phantom is hot in the 2004 version

Scifi and fantasy for me. Not into horror unless its cheesy old horror films. I like animated movies but I suppose they aren't really a genre as they can be any type of movie but I like Ghibl animated movies which I guess are fantasy movies.

Guess you could say Westerns and Action movies.

I want to one day watch every Western that John Wayne was in, but there are a lot!

My step father was a great John Wayne fan, I must have watched all of them including the Quiet Man 🙂

I personally like the spaghetti western as I used to like Clint Eastwood

"Once Upon A Time in the West" is absolutely amazing. I love it and if I rewatch it, I'll watch it till the end.

The score by Ennio Morricone is simply stunning, in fact he's one of the best composers of all time. Sadly, he passed away this year.

Also, anything with Charles Bronson is a must watch for me. I watched "Death Wish" 3-5 which were pretty bad (I think), but hey, it's Bronson. 😃 beccatavender

You can see John Wayne's son here:

Even if that hat wasn't Mr. Wayne's, I'd not mind having it. 😜 beccatavender

I mainly watch action or thriller types films as this is what both me and my bf can watch together, although I quite like horrors and comedy also. I used to get really scared at horror films but now think a lot of them are tame!

I HATE horror films, I won’t even allow the DVDs in my house.... I think they encourage a “presence”... give me a good old musical or Xmas movie anyway! ... west Side Story, Calamity Jane, Seven brides, Grease, Sound of Music ... etc etc Image

My favourite film genre has to be indie suspense thrillers. They are often so well thought out and with brilliant acting.
