What was your fav film as a child and why? how old were you are do you still enjoy the film? loved Lion King, never ending story and ET
Nothing beats the 80s films at aged five et was my first film watched I love some kind of wonderful pretty in pink karate kid the Goonies (such a classic of course hey you guys lol ) I'm forever watching old 80s films love them x
People find it mad when I tell them I have never watched The Lion King!!
I loved Bambi when I was younger and I remember as a little girl seeing some elder man wearing a T shirt saying βI shot Bambis momβ that scarred me for life lol! I also loved Titanic, watched it over and over again!
I've never watched a Disney film, don't think I have missed out. Favourite films growing up were Short Circuit, Lost Boys and Dirty Dancing, which I watched 78 times at the cinema (I kept the cinema tickets ). I also loved Pretty in Pink, Flashdance and Mannequin. There were some brilliant films out when I was younger, off to have a nostalgia moment
Dilligaf omg perfect choices there so many 80s films liked eg mannequin lost boys etc I love x
trudy43 Good taste there so many I loved back then, Splash, Three Men and a Baby..... all had amazing sound tracks too
Dilligaf omg mannequin! when youre in love with a beuoootiful woman would love to see a johnny No 5 reboot. Lost Boys was brilliant and Dirty Dancing- knew all the words if not the moves!
Dilligaf I so agree so many to mention splash three men lost boys Goonies list endless I love the ending of some kind wonderful beautfull x
OneeyedRaven I know it word for word and can still do the lift as well as the moves, was so in love with Johhnny. Everyone said I looked like Jennifer Grey back then, definitely not now, mind you she doesn't look like herself now either lol. I cried when Johnny No 5 died
trudy43 never saw that, one day I will though. Going to have to have a 80s marathon this weekend I think
Andre, the film about a seal. Tried to find it on ebay for my daughter to watch but it wouldn't play when it arrived.
I loved Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, the Little mermaid, the never ending story, the swan princess and thumbelina! I would still watch them all now.
The sound of music. I used to watch it on repeat and my mother used to have the songs on tape in her car. I still love it now, my wife hasnt even seen it all, she leaves the room when i watch it every christmas
Dirty dancing is the best film ever. Period! Also loved Labyrinth, Short Circuit & Top gun. All still fabulous films I still happily watch today.
My favourite was "Calamity Jane" (Doris Day) I liked it for the songs. They're all on YouTube here's one of them. I'll probably watch more later:
I have 2 favourites Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Wizard of Oz. Think I loved them as a child for pure escapism and I still love them as an adult. I was not impressed with the Johnny Deppe version, lol.
Favourite film as a kid was 'First Men in the Moon' a Ray Harryhausen movie with Lionel Jeffries and Edward Judd. I still enjoy the movie now especially the special effects.
Home Alone. I wanted to live in that house, set up the traps, order pizza with extra cheese...with the family far, far away lol
hspexy ~Keep the change ya filthy animal......
swearing zero, 100% hero- even with a name like Kevin!
My favourite film growing up was Corpse Bride and The Nightmare Before Christmas and still are. I love Tim Burton.
Gremlins because I love ugly little monsters ruining Christmas. really made me laugh and still does. I'm a big fan of stripe to be honest, not gizmo and as I get older I have become Mrs Deagle - a bad tempered, cat loving, christmas hating, cynical old witch #lifegoals.
I liked the original three Star Wars films when I was a Kid and still enjoy watching them today.
Lost boys ,dirty dancing ,grease , adventures in babysitting, uncle buck so many good movies
