Favourite Fruit?
Ask a Question
My favourite fruits are strawberry, blueberry and rasperberry so berries.
I also eat apples as I take them with me and easier to eat without a mess.
During the summer I really like to eat watermelon and other types of melon, as well as mangos.
What's your favourite?
Bilberries. I have an unlimited supply all around where I live and this is the prime time for foraging.
jmsonl I have never heard of this type of fruit so I searched on Google and they look similar to blueberries but are different. Do they taste similar to blueberries?
Letgetfreestuff They are smaller and have the dark purple colouring all the way through the fruit. Similar taste I guess. I would of course say better As a bonus when you pick them you get can get covered in purple juice. My kids come out like aliens. Wonderfully it will wash off with water easily. After years of picking I can go at quite a rate now. The other day I got some more bilberries and found what looked like a lovely cross between blackberry and dewberry. The tastiest I have had for a while. I am off to pick some more tomorrow!
pineapple has to be the fave, tho i love all fruit, doesn't last long in my house with the kids tho haha
I would say mango and watermelon also! Unfortunately two of the more expensive fruits, wish I loved bananas or something that are cheaper!
Mango, watermelon and persimmon are my favourite fruits. Not a fan of banana , apple , pears and oranges
Grapes to snack on. Passion fruit for adding flavour to things like smoothies - it's like a miracle way of making them delicious.
I love most fruits but my favourites are cherries and mangoes. Sadly, these are also the most expensive but because it's a fairly short season I spoil myself. The only fruit I really wouldn't eat again is dragon fruit.
angemski what don't you like about dragon fruit? Is it the taste? Yeah same here I tried dragon fruit once a bed I really didn't like it.
Letgetfreestuff It was the grainy then slippery texture without too much flavour - I'm fairly easy to please but this is a fruit that won't be re-visited. I'm not a lover of creme brulee either.....
Some people take these fruits for granted. They have on their trees growing but don't even care while others would be willing to pay a decent amount for it.
Just been foraging for blackberries in our neighbours garden. There are absolutely loads and we are going to add them to our pancake desert tonight. Yum... You pay a fortune for these in the shops.
Ceebers Yeah I agree blueberries are expensive these days unless if you get them from a market they sometimes sell one or two packs for £1. Otherwise in Lidl and Aldi it close to £2.
I love fresh figs but they are too expensive most of time. A few years ago I bought a huge bag of dried figs in Istanbul and had to eat them all because you can’t bring food stuffs back. They were delicious and so cheap.
Pjran Ohh figs were my favourite fruit and I used to buy 4 for a £1 in a local fruit and veg shop but more they don't sell it anyone still they are expensive elsewhere.
love the exotic flavours of passion fruit and mango and pineapple, buy them when on offer, other than that i love pears and figs and cherries and the odd banana/apple etc
I think my favourite fruit would have to be either strawberries or mango. I think strawberries are good all year round and I don't think I've ever turned down the offer of some. Whereas mango I need to be feeling like!
