i love reading autobiographies or true crime stories ... i read all the fred west books and the ripper books and all the moors murderers books .. not because im sick n twisted i just try and see why .. i read the holly n jessica books ian huntley n maxine /carr and just cant understand why a woman would cover up like she did ..
I enjoy reading autobiographies too but my favourite books to read are cookery books, I absolutely love them. I have a stack of them. I like vintage recipe books more as I like seeing old gems that I had/ate as a child etc. I am not the best cook but I like to dream about what I could cook 
Historical fiction and fact. I won't waste my time reading any other genre. I don't have a closed mind but at my age why waste time reading something you won't like 
I have learned so much I even give history talks and am going to a history weekend in Winchester in October to listen to Dan Jones, Sam Willis and others from tv and history writers! So looking forward to it.
im awful at history my hubby really enjoys watching historical programmes x n can talk about any historical event in history x i never liked it in scool either that n geography do nothing for me x i like documentaries but not like he likes xx
Hi Jo, think i have said on here before how much i love Black Sails, Outlander, Versailles, Knigjtsfall, Vikings, etc such good drama and you would be surprised how much you pick up about history, it's a non boring way of learning!
i watched vikings and sparticus davinci but they only made 1 n half season x we taping iron clad at min x ive mentioned black sails to hubby x i dont mind watching things like them but i dont like watching real film focumenties like of the real time ones ... ive watched a few about the holocaust etc but jubby will watch about hitler and his upbrinigng and the loss of a ship n trying to raise it etc basically anything x
