What is Your Favourite Soup?
Ask a Question
The weather's changing and winter is coming and there's nothing better than a nice bowl of soup and a crusty roll on a cold day.
So what is your favourite soup?
I think that I might have to go with Baxter's Royal Game soup
My favourite soups are Tom Yom Goong and Pho. YUM
I made spicy butternut soup last night wich is my favourite non Asian soup.
I make my own soup which is very popular in my house.. carrots, butternut squash, potatoes, chickpeas, onion, tomato purΓ©e, chicken stock (all blended up) and then added chicken on top
SarahBenne67061 I do make a broccoli and stilton soup every so often.
A lot of people won't make it because they don't like how strong the cheese is.
I don't like stilton to be honest, but it doesn't come across so harsh in a soup.
I usually make my own soup with whatever I have in. I do like a spicy lentil and bean soup on a cold day though!
Glitterandgold just had the Tescoβs finest sweet potato, chilli & coconut soup and it is very tasty and very similar to the one I like from the local health food shop. Also there is enough for two days also a bargain
IonaJones Ah fab. Glad you liked it. It's a decent soup for Β£2.50. I have it for lunch regular
Growing up my mam used to make the best ham shank soup with dumplings in. I tried making it myself recently & it was too salty.
Glitterandgold Did you soak the ham in cold water overnight and drain, before cooking!
Glitterandgold Yes my mum did it that way and wasn't salty, but think she changed the water around three times throughout the day then leaving it over night before cooking
Gazz3 Ah ok. I thought it was just the peas to soak, but that explains the immense saltiness then. I'll have another go at making it again now. Thanks!
Dont go to the bother of making my own but my favourite for a while has been New covent garden Peri Peri chicken, i manage the whole carton to myself
my mum makes an amazing sweet potato, carrot, lentils and other veg soup. its diet friendly and delicious
Mulligatawny of course , but it has to be left in the cupboard to mature for several years (decades?) .
Always make my own soup, but think my favourite has to be good old veg, blitzed and a drop of milk, yummy.
French Onion soup.I'm obsessed with it,I could eat it everyday but It's so hard to find anywhere that sells it.
I invested in a soup manufacturer. I asked them what the stock options were.
They said chicken or vegetable
Moonstone22 Oh, yes. I always have a couple of packs of chicken noodle soup for when I'm poorly.
Butternut squash soup with red peppers in the oven and later blended with potato and carrots
A serious answer to your question would be the onion soup I recently tried in Cafe Rouge. Ooooh la la.
