Fed Ex Delivery Didn't Turn up Yesterday 'We Can't Guarantee Delivery' They Say

Other

Last Thursday somehow I missed the door ringing with a parcel from fed ex. I was gutted as I knew this would be a problem to get it redelivered as there always is with couriers. I couldn't get the online redelivery form to work, couldn't find a number that worked to call. After about 30mins I did get through to a bloke to rearrange. The 1st available day I was home all day was yesterday, Monday. He says it'll be there on Monday. It gets to 4pm. No parcel. I call and speak to a snarky woman who says 'we can't guarantee delivery', and I say well what's the point of me ringing to book a redelivery. She said 'the system says they will redeliver Tuesday'. I've looked at the tracking, which is now working, and it's still in Bristol. It isn't in transit and today's Tuesday. I'm sick of this already. I haven't ordered anything, so I'm thinking do I just let this go as I get fed up of chasing and chasing and having to sit in my living room all day (I do work from home but I dare not move from the living room in case I miss the door bell) waiting on the off chance that one of these basard courier companies might actually delivery my parcel.🤬

update just rang them. They saying it could be it is going out on a later delivery today hence why it is not showing as on a van. I've been told if it doesn't get delivered today then I have to contact the people who sent me the parcel - only I didn't know who it came from but apparently it is Michael Davies Associates. That means nothing to me. Then she said we only keep for so long before we sent it back - but I was in touch with fed ex the same day saying please redeliver on Monday. this is stupid. Why would I have to contact the people who originally sent it to me to say Fed Ex are holding my parcel and won't redelivered to me.

I can't remember which company it was but I had a parcel being delivered and knew that I wouldn't be in. So I filled out the form that said to leave it in a safe place. Got back and my parcel wasn't there. So I contacted them and explained I had filled the form out and my parcel wasn't there and that I wasn't happy as the parcel was a gift for mothers day (which was in 2 days time) and if it wasn't sorted I would be contacting the company I ordered from and advising them not to use the delivery company again. I had a phone call from the company 10 minutes later, my parcel had been put on the wrong van and the driver didn't have the paperwork that said to leave it in a safe place. The man was very apologetic and had the driver come back and deliver it within half an hour. I wrote them a very good review after that as he sorted it out so quickly.

If Fed Ex are refusing to redeliver is there some place higher up that you can complain to? Like Head Office or whoever regulates delivery companies?

Hi ShellyAnn

....I do work from home but I dare not move from the living room in case I miss the door bell...

Another time you're waiting in for delivery, I suggest putting a note next to your door bell, something like this:

ATTENTION COURIERS

I AM IN TODAY (TUESDAY) ALL DAY BUT I AM HARD OF HEARING

PLEASE RING THE BELL

IF NO RESPONSE PLEASE SHOUT OR HONK YOUR VEHICLE HORN 3 TIMES

THANKS

If you live in a block of flats it's more difficult!

I wasn't expecing a courier last thursday. I had no idea anything was coming. Anyways michael davis associates have got them doing a full factory search - will take 2-3 days. They will contact me towards the end of the week with an update. I also have a reference number with them. If it can't be found, MDS will decide whether they will issue me with another gin kit. What a nightmare. All this over a free bottle of gin. so from now on I liase with MDS not fedex

In my area DHL is the worst one, what is ironic, because they usually the best.

I think the main problem is with the company who u delivered from, because they suppose to send u tracking number and tell, that your things are on the way. These couriers have tough job, if they can not deliver, they get no money...

no, nothing. Haven't heard fro Michael Davies Associates today. Not sure about chasing this anymore. I think it is costing me for each phone call so I don't want to waste money on missing gin bottles. All the drama - I could have bought myself a bottle!
