Are Festivals worth It?

Other

Will you be going to any festivals this year? And are they worth it? Some of the people I’ve spoken to recently have paid a few hundred for Glastonbury...

Hi hspexy I would not pay a few hundred pound to go to Glastonbury. Never worth it. One thing it's all ways raining you are walking and sleeping in mud. These toilets are dirty . They are never cleaned or checked There are no place to have a wash. If I was to put up a sin saying camping you can sleep and walk in mud and dirty toilet no wear to wash they would tell me wear to go. Yet they are very happy to pay at Glastonbury. 🦉🦉

Good evening nicolajaynehend I agree. I’ve heard loads of stories where people have found pee in their wellies, or random people just wee on the tents...and everyone is drunk, leery and you won’t get any space to yourself. The whole weekend. Not for me at all

Hi hspexy it not a place I would go to. I would not feel safe. And I can think of better things to do with the money. 🦉🦉

nicolajaynehend same here, much nicer places where my money would stretch further, and I can use the washrooms whenever I want! Lol

We are heading to Kendal Calling for the 5th year, it’s classed as a medium size & is family friendly so always take our teenages with us. We do only live around 4 miles from the site but usually camp to make the most of the weekend (but pop home on the Saturday morning for a shower 😉)

Its in the Lakes so its usually pouring down but I guess we are used to that!

We liked the look of the lineup for Sunda at Leeds but have been put off with the horror stories x

I have heard a lot of fab stories, but yes, the horror stories are really off putting. At least I’ve heard the family friendly festivals are ok - it’s always exciting for the kids 👍

I wouldn't pay a few pennies to go to any festival. I cannot think of anything worse than roughing it in a muddy field with a load of hippies smoking dope lol.

Same here. You won’t get a moment’s peace either, and you’re stuck in a field with people that you probably wouldn’t normally associate with for an entire weekend. And to think people pay for that experience 😜

I have never been to a festival as it is just not my thing! Having to camp, getting muddy, no showers, no proper toilets. You couldn't pay me to go to a festival!

Lol I could be persuaded to go if I was getting paid for it, but the money would have to be a lot! 😜😂

Wouldn't pay it myself been to a few when I was younger and the atmosphere was amazing! Just not worth the cost these days.

I haven't been to those camping type festivals. I don't think I would like them.

I have been to things like the eat and drink festival and Japan fest which are just one day events. Those can be fun

Ah yes those are good fun, and I guess when it’s only a few hours of being stuck in a crowd, it’s tolerable 😊
