'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' or 'Elf' always cheer me up, I sit and laugh all the way through. At this time of year if I want a feel good film I love 'It's a Wonderful Life', really heartwarming.

OneeyedRaven lol, you really do have to watch it, it's hilarious. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it. John Candy at his finest 😁

I am quite surprised at some of the choices, I must admit I find Harry Potter quite dark despite the fact it is a family film.

My go to film to really cheer me up is Mama Mia. I cannot resist singing along and although some of it brings tears to my eyes the majority of it is so uplifting and the three older women have me in stitches.

My guilty pleasure is a film called 'The Proposal' with Ryan Reynolds, Sandra Bullock and Betty White. I've seen it a few times but I admit that if it's already on and I come across it I will watch it. My other fave is 'The Lake House' with Keanu Reeves and, oddly once again, Sandra Bullock. I am a sad romantic but these two films leave me with a smile instead of making me blub.

I tend to end up re-watching Disney movies despite being 47. There's just something soothing about them. Those or musicals. Singing in the Rain is my favourite

I like cheesy old scifi movies as a pick me up, a nice nostalgic feeling while you are watching them. One of my favourite comedies is Galaxy Quest.

Also love Disney. Makes me feel better watching them ! Some films I still find funny years later include Superbad, hangover and bridesmaids but have to be in the mood for them.

The Truman show is great or most of the Tom Hanks movies are interesting.

The Joker. Yes, you may not understand why you'd watch a film about depression, but after you watch it it'll make you feel A LOT better.

I called Joker a 'film' and not a 'movie' because it's a masterpiece.
