Totally agree, would they set fire to a bundle of notes, as that is effectively what they are doing?

I agree with you totally. Why they go on from October till January each year is ridiculous. The amount going off in residential areas is so annoying. One of my dogs has wet herself twice tonight and the other is a trembling wreck 😪

I don't normally bother about them but last night I hated them. They upset my son, which sent the dog into protective mode so she was barking at every firework. I finally got my son settled and asleep when a massive one went off making the dog bark and waking my son, who was then too upset to go to sleep and spent an hour being grouchy until his daddy came home. 2 seconds in his dad's arms and he was calm and snuggling in.

I eventually got him back to sleep but it wasn't easy. Luckily he slept through the rest of the fireworks.

As a dog owner, hate them. Just think they should be organised displays only, they cause so much hassle for the NHS, fire service, police and any animal owners...

I also hate them, hearing and seeing so many accounts of distressed animals this year.

I don't understand why they can't just market the bangless fireworks more, it isn't the noise that most people are interested in but the patterns and the light display. They aren't that much more expensive either and it would stop a lot of issues, yes you will still get the morons who use them as a weapon but they can use anything in that way if so inclined.

Dilligaf I'm with you on this one - it would be a much more sensible idea and would save a lot of stress for animals and humans.

Love them but think they shouldn't be available for the general public - licensed events only. My pets were just as scared of thunder and lightening or a low flying plane as they were fireworks so I don't agree with banning them completely.

I love them but only at organised events especially New Years London. I wish supermarkets weren’t allowed to sell them, you always hear of such awful accidents whether children, dogs or horses.

They are expensive and maybe polluting our world!

Hate them. Shouldn't be sold to the public.

The amount of animal abuse every year with fireworks is disgusting and it gets worse.

I love them, as watching them and setting them off brings out the kid in me. But i hate it when people misuse and abuse fireworks. They are to be enjoyed, not to be used as weapons or missiles. More consideration is needed when using them

The ones that make a big bang are great during special occasions, and that's usually when they are used, anyway.

The ones I hate? Those that are so weak you might as well not shoot em up. They sound pathetically weak. lol
