I feel like pets are important parts of our lives.
Especially growing up, i have always been erm.. enriched in a variety of pets.
And i can still remember most.
1)My first was when i was around 3 or 4. They were 2 birds and dont remember the names. One had died so i had buried it had released the other one. Probably the saddest day i had experienced at that point.
2)Cat
3)Then i got 3 budgies (Angelo, Angela, Angelina) 
as a 6 or 7 year old
4) Two fishes 7 or 8
5)Two bunnies
6)Two more budgies (Kiwi and Cherry for short)
7)Cat named Ginger
I didnt include ages for all of them since i dont exactly remember how old i was and i dont want to make it sound like they died since most didnt (except the first from old age)
We got a dog when I was 15 we had her for 12 years I ended up with my grandads love birds when he pasted away after got more birds then a duck we rescued and another dog lol
My first pet as an adult was a staffy. She was white. I called her polo, great bread of dog so misunderstood.
After losing her I got another. She was black. Her name was ruby. Yet again a great dog. It’s all about training and taking lots of time at the start with them. Hard work but well worth It.
Sadly she passed away over two years ago. Still heartbroken.

As far back as I can remember we had dogs. Majority of our dogs were rescues and mongrels. Not like the new mix breads that you can get today like cockapoos etc. More like a "pavement special". I did venture down the bird and goldfish route, but the one constant was always dogs. My mother was allergic to cats hence never grew up with any.
My first ever pet was a rabbit called George and I was devastated when he died, fortunately, my parents had a stone version made of him and it still sits in my garden. I've had many cats and a few chickens since then
We used to have quails, they laid mini eggs too!! If we ever came into money we've said we'd like a house with big field and we'd have a donkey, goat and some quails! Kids want a panda too 
i have alway been around dogs and multiples of. but we also have always had a house hold cat. My best birthday present was my cat which my mum bought me for my 21st first birthday
I am cat person, my first pet was cat.One day I am dreaming to have Caracal cat,I adore them.
