Fitting a Floor- Advice Please
Ask a Question
considering installing engineered flooring is it worth the save or best left to a fitter, anyone managed ok im a moderate DIYer TIA
Ive fitted various types of wood flooring for myself & family. Its not difficult but depending on the type of floor you may need help off another person just to get them into place (if you need to do a whole strip the room length at a time) if its just the ones that go individually you could do it on your own. Have a look at youtube videos to see if you think its something you could do
thank you yup im having a watch of a few videos- always make it look easy though lol and think im gonna gave to give it a whirl fingers crossed
OneeyedRaven its not easy but its not difficult either. I love puzzles and fixing things so i find it easy but i know people that wouldnt have a clue. If you do diy yourself then you should have a problem. Besides if you buy the flooring and bits you need and then find it too hard to lay yourself then you can always get someone in to give you a hand. Everything is worth a try.
Yes I’d definitely encourage you to give it a go. I fitted the laminate in our lounge and while it took a bit of patience to start wit, once the first few rows were down it became a lot easier. It also means you can lay it in the way you want. Not to mention it gives you an immense sense of satisfaction once completed!
