I just had a flash back feeling when I tried to access the boots/com website and got the pictured message, it reminded me of lockdown with the queuing system on some supermarket sites. Anything else you remember and shudder about from the lock down?

I remember the panic buying of toilet paper and pasta. Supermarket shelves were empty so often.

I just smiled to myself and had great fun thinking of the numerous Lemmings who stocked up on "shortages " even at inflated prices when there was never a shortage !
Admit it ? How many of our members still have a loft/garage/shed still full of way overpriced bog rolls / Chinese face masks and such things that were NEVER in short supply ? "There's none so blind as those who cannot see " Google it ?

Golfforall and in the funny turn of events, they're now suggesting we buy only what we need in order to cope with the rising prices and avoid wastage.

I recall not being able to get hold of flour or yeast, both of which I use regularly!

tumblespots yessss I remember flour running out with all the banana bread baking and people getting the hang of baking bread should we ever be in short supply.

amaksy It's funny but then I wanted the flour for cakes, crumbles & scones etc but since the end of lockdown we bought a breadmaker!

We brought merlin passes then they shut down due to the pandemic, when they reopened my partner was in a virtual queue for half an hour because my daughter wanted to see the little village at legoland

I must have gotten lucky as I was never in a virtual queue during lockdown. I was in a supermarket queue twice during lockdown and that was because it was Christmas time.

amaksy I did online food shopping at the start of the pandemic, didnt want to take our son out due to his heart condition. When it started to ease a bit I used to do a monthly shop in Lidl so that I didn't need to an online food order as I wanted to leave spaces for people more vulnerable. I was never in a queue when doing my online food shop, I definitely must have been lucky.

Glad those days are in the past fingers crossed, hopefully current economic trials will be a thing of the past soon. Definitely hoping things do not come in a group of three, less interesting times would be a welcome relief.

People selling hand sanitizer for ridiculous amounts on ebay. I'm very glad it's over, but its a shame we now face so many other issues.

Midnightflower I remember seeing people selling baby formula for ridiculous prices on fb marketplace. Luckily our son was on cows milk by then, but I remember having to go to 3 different supermarkets to get nappies and then seeing them on fb marketplace for about 3 times the price! People really were trying to rip others off.

MrsCraig I think it's sad when we see people behave like that. By all means buy what you need, but to take necessities away from others to sell at a ridiculous price is just horrible.

Midnightflower I know, I only bought what I needed so there was enough for everyone. I couldn't believe people were trying to make a profit off others during such a terrible time.
