Flash Floods in Nepal and Tibet

Rescuers in Nepal and Tibet are searching for hundreds of missing people, including dozens of Brits, following devastating flash-floods that have so far killed more than 160 people.
The floods were triggered by a landslide that caused rivers to burst their banks. Houses and bridges were swept away in densely populated area.
The charity Save The Children, who are assisting with the rescue, told Good Morning Britain that rescue efforts are being hampered by blocked roads
This sounds horrendous and footage looks awful. I've not added it because its upsetting. These poor countries
Unfortunately, whilst we’ve had good weather here, the other side of the world has had to bear the brunt of all the storms. Mother Nature can be so unkind. But hopefully they weather the storm & get through it (lots of flooding in east & south east Asia also)

I saw it on the news last night, once that landslide happened those poor people didn't have a chance, there is nothing more powerful than water

I was scrolling through TikTok yesterday and a news outlet posted a clip of some it, it was really bad. The amount of people that was trying to run away was horrific and then all of a sudden you see the water just come and wipe everything out and the buildings just start collapsing
I was sad to see this and i wondered if nepal did a consensus to actually know how many people live in the area so a true figure missing could be established, thankfully they do as we have every 10 years , so at least there is a record of who might be missing
I saw some footage last night. Looked awful. The death toll will more likely rise, I think sadly.
Sherrifffroggy oh totally the death toll won't be known for weeks possibly months if ever. Given how some parts are remote
I saw last night there maybe more flooding to come in the area. I really hope not because its bad enough there as it is. No one knows how bad Tibet is because China has so much control over it and its pretty much shut down anyway. Added they dont allow journalists into Tibet as it is.
