Ask a Question

Am I missing something here? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sorry, I'm sounding a bit naive!!

Seen these mentioned on some comments but never heard of them, nor can I get on the sites! 🤔

Help!

I believe Fleabay is just some folks thinking its "cool" to use that name ? Who knows why ?

A.maso.n I presume is just misspelling , so few folk on here bother reading back let alone edit what they have posted (too often just by voice these days ) .

It's a British thing to call eBay as "fleabay," but never heard of "Amason" written or spelled that way.

Don't know why they call it "fleabay" gives the sense they hate it, yet they use it.

I believe it comes from "Flea Market " those supposedly trendy street markets where they sell that arty crafty stuff .

PhilipMarc yes I do see what you mean. Not sure why anyone would hate it, even if they have had a bad experience. Hopefully the majority are trustworthy!😊

SAdeals well, eBay are known to have some scammer buyers, but most of the time if you do things correctly they don't get their way.

The other reason is Managed Payments although this one is very, very recent. It's supposedly better than PayPal, yet you don't get paid instantly rather it takes 2-3 days to clear.

Also, what's up with calling pound/quid as "squid"? Brits try to rename everything for some reason.

Yet, when someone calls "football" as Soccer (original name) they get annoyed.
