Do you follow the instructions on packs of things ?
I mean when a pack of black clothes dye says wear gloves would you wear gloves or think you know better ? 
I obviously think I know better 
I have a habit of reading the step by step instructions as well as the health and safety part.
LOL. Certainly with something like dye I would just get stuck in and get covered in the stuff. If it is an Ikea piece I would use the instructions and it would be too crazy not to.

much to the annoyance of my wife.
Most packets i read and follow the instructions on everything because im useless otherwise and i’ll mess it up 
always wear gloves for dying my hair but they always end up with holes in and dying my hands
