Only a few days later its always this time of year people lose there jobs
I actually find mamas and papas more expensive than mothercare so have never bought anything from there, although I have looked a few times.
It is a shame for the people who lose their jobs.
Such a shame that all these stores keep collapsing. If it carries on like this we will only have major supermarket and Amazon left to purchase from.
ASDA is pretty much Wal-Mart so they can theoretically carry almost everything in one supermarket.
Seeing more and more retailers closing down is worrisome because next thing you know there won't be any or much at all.
Surprised GAME is still standing, but it's owned by the dude from Sports Direct, I think. He basically buys failed businesses.
Surely they have a chance of surviving now that a major competitor has left the market in Mothercare. While footfall is diminishing you'd think they would now have a larger slice of that pie.
People are getting poorer in the UK and likely to get even poorer in the future whatever happens so pricing is more important to more people. I think most retailers with a high margin and higher operating costs will suffer.
