Conclusion: Ubereats is a ripoff. Get on Foodhub, they are way better and are not jacking up prices so that they can issue huge discounts such as these. Reminds me of MyProtein, 40% off everyday --'
I’ve never been a fan of ubereats. Twice they accepted my order but then wouldn’t deliver as too far away & then refused to help get a refund. Never had a problem with food hub
I don't like them either, they have all these hidden costs. What is a service fee anyways? You use an app, the app sends the info to the restaurant and the driver picks up and delivers it to you...
I like the simplicity of FoodHub as well.
Great comparison and a good reminder that it's always worth comparing the various delivery options!
The same restaurant/takeaway can often be on JustEat, FoodHub, UberEats and/or Deliveroo. Always take into account the prices, delivery fees and available vouchers
Thank you, it is very much needed. I wish people would lay off the hype Uber Eats has as its a daylight robbery tbh.
You also have to watch this service fee they apply to Uber too. The last time I ordered I had a code from O2 for £10 off food came to £14.80 so had £4.80 to pay for food then £3.49 delivery and a £1.48 service fee so cost me £9.77!
My order had a 1.84gbp service fee which at first sight looks random and should not exist whatsoever.
These feels almost feels like you buy a cheap electronic but you need to buy batteries on the side!
I get fed up of all of these apps, you see them advertised everyday on tv - 1) there is so many of them now and I don’t understand the need for that... 2) none of these apps deliver to my area - there ends up only being 1-2 restaurants available to order from and I live just on the outskirts of Glasgow - hardly the middle of nowhere.
