Foods You Absolutely Hate!
Ask a Question
Are there any foods you absolutely hate the taste of or just the smell of it puts you off, or even what it looks like?
i disliked school dinners but what I really hate is certain food combinations that really turn my stomach like baked beans and mashed potato.
My comment is going to be unpopular but I can't stand the smell or taste of Coriander. I can smell it in a dish at a metre away and it tastes like a pungent soap to me. Apparently, this isn't uncommon.
Same.I absolutely hate Coriander, tastes like washing up liquid to me.Not a fan of Coconut either.
I used to be like you. Even a teensy piece as garnish would spoil my dish. I lived in Asia for a few years and had to get used to it as it was everywhere, one day I surprised myself buying coriander to cook with, and now I really lile it ! Never thought that'd happen.
Curry I can't stand the smell also tinned pasta with tomato sauce when I was little a friends mum put it on top of my food cant stand it now
I love mashed potatoes and beans I hate gherkins, celery and the very thought of faggots makes me want to gag
Olives. I want to like them as I love little snack foods, but the taste is just too unpleasant to me. I've tried them several times in the hope that my tastes might change as I get older but I just don't like them.
Hate liver , used to eat it when was a little girl as was A popular dish my mum cooked , hate it now , also hate black pudding never liked it
I hate bananas, they are absolutely disgusting. I used to get sick as a child when people tried to make me eat them. Everything about them is off-putting
Blue cheese is probably the one thing I truly can't eat. It tastes absolutely awful to me. My old flatmate cooked for me only once : a butternut squash risotto, I was well excited until I tasted and it was full of the old blue cheese
Rhubarb. I hate rhubarb with a passion its vile, I hate the taste, texture, its not a fruit its actually a vegetable yet people insist on slathering it with sugar and pretending its a fruit, it not! Rhubarb needs to stop acting like a little higher than its pay grade vegetable and sod off
Gravy ive never liked it, cant understand why people would pour gallons of the stuff on a sunday roast and turn it into mush. You have soup in a bowl as a starter not on a plate for a main
I don’t like beef burgers, sausages, salamis in fact anything with white fat blobs. I don’t like the taste or texture yuk.
Brussel sprouts absolutely hate them. Can't stand the thought of eating them. I usually like my veg but sprouts I find them disgusting
Mushrooms curry... courgettes.. spicy food.. cooked tomatoes and peppers... I’m quite a fussy eater
Sprouts ,I just hate it, I am not well when I see it on the table and smell make me feel sick .
GSM Yes, I prefer it in Olive oil too. My OH loves tinned mackerel, he takes it to work for lunches tho (he works as a gardener, alone) as he is banned from opening tins of it in our house.
Any type of veg that comes out of a tin yuk. I also still won't eat anything with mince as I thought it looked like maggots when I was little.
I like fish but hate prawns, shrimp, crab, lobster etc. Not keen on some french food. I don't like a strong garlic flavour or food that is too greasy, oily. I don't like fancy chocolate, typically dark chocolate with exotic fillings. Not keen on wine always seems like a waste of good grapes and not really into spirits at all. Not keen on italian pizza much prefer the US style with lots of interesting ingredients on top. I guess I'm quite low brow when it comes to food, the fancier it gets the more I dislike it. Favourite foods are Chinese and Indian curries plus british favourites like roast dinners, fish and chips etc. Also love a good sandwich.
