This article made me chuckle, Southend United decided to name one of its stands, after their sponsors, a local estate agents Gilbert & Rose, nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately it was the West Stand
I can't believe that no-one at the club made the connection to Rose West one of UK's worst serial killers and that it had to be pointed out to them!

They must have been very young! Mind you, they could call the East one Rose East !
Got to say snowflakes come on it's a name and that's it I'm sure there is alot of people with her name
beccatavender doesn't matter who's name it is it's just a name people are so negative make something good from it instead on remembering what them people did and if you was a fan of the club they will know who's it's actually named after

PhilipMarc I saw that article, I thought it must be really embarrassing, I wonder how many complaints HR has had about him, if he is able to work 
Why didn't they just use the Gilbert part? Whilst it is just a name I can understand why people would have negative connotations when seeing it.
I found the article really amusing. I can't believe no one employed there couldn't even think of a better name in the first place!
