Football Fans Will Be Allowed Back into Certain Football Stadiums

In the News

From december 3rd ( 1st day out of lockdown ) fans will be allowed back into football stadiums if where the area it is located in is in tier 1 or 2 restrictions. If the area where the stadium is located is in tier 1 restrictions a maximum of 4000 fans will be allowed into the stadium , Furthermore if the area where the stadium is located is in tier 2 restrictions a maximum of 2000 fans will be allowed in the stadium.

As a fan of football , football clubs genreally speaking release matchday tickets to the public 4-6 weeks before the scheduled day of the match , this however poses the question that if a certain area where a football stadium is located moves from tier 2 restriction to tier 3 restrictions what do they say to fans that have every right to attend that match cause they have a valid ticket.

I also think personnaly that it would be impossible and absolute stupidity for clubs to only sell matchday tickets on the day of the match , this could potentially bring 10s of thousands of fans trying to claim 1 of only 4000 or 2000 tickets.

What are your thoughts on this entire situation ?

Most clubs have already sold (and been paid for) their season tickets . There will be no sale of match tickets quite the opposite . Tottenham for instance have 40,000 paid up season ticket holders how's that going to work ? You can attend 1 match in 10 ?

Might be different for Arsenal they'll struggle to find 4000 fans who could stomach 90 minutes watching them .

I don't think you can sell match day tickets. Season ticket holders should get priority since most have paid for their ticket this season.

I don't know how they will be able to create fairness with only allowing 4k fans in, I support Newcastle (Its mentally draining I know) but the stadium holds 52k. How do they select who goes to what games as some games are bigger than others.

Unfortunately season ticket holders have already paid and money is nonrefundable (not that I want my cash back). I dont know what has happened in England but here in Scotland we got a code to watch the games online on home match days which yes is great but there is a lot of order fans whom probably have no access to this services.

I think its great that England are leading the way in getting fans back into the stadiums but I think it needs looked at as in numbers how a 50/60,000 stadium can have 4,000 fans surely that have to take capacity into this and allow more people to enter i mean if yiu have a game at Wembley they will be dotted all over the stadium or are they just using one area of the stadium. If fans are not fully back by the summer then the euros are hardly worth having in the uk as it will bring absolutely no revenue.

Greed of the premier league is why we couldn't have codes lol, we had the great opportunity of spending an extra £15 to watch the games we have already paid for 😂

I am perplexed , a week ago there was zero chance a week ago of fans being allowed into grounds. Then it is changed to depending on the tier they are in they will allow a certain number of fans but even on the day they announce it they announce 100's of deaths, Why the obsession with herding the people into danger . I'd love to be in the crowd @ my team who only got promoted this season to the premier league .But I'll never do that when it is only being allowed because were putting money above Health .

So you are allowed to mix with 1,000 strangers in a football stadium, but you can't go to your friend's house for a cup of tea?
