Opinions on a Four Day Working Week?

It's been reported on the news that a four day working week would be beneficial. Do you agree or disagree and what are your views?.
Wouldn't be so bad if the cost of live wasn't so expensive people struggle now who work full time
My husband has been doing a four day week for years, his days are longer. So he still works the full time hours just over four days.
Yes, my partner too. I think it’s great. He has Friday off every week. His choice
I have been tempted to do something similar, and our team are looking at giving us more flexible working so it might yet be on the cards. I do like the idea of three day weekends
I think it would be great, you could spend one day doing housework and then the "weekend" for Fun 
I work 4 days a week but 12 hour shifts, sits in better for me as I get to spend an extra day with the kids/family 
I condensed my hours into 4 days after maternity leave. Still full time, so didn't change my pay. Longer days, but works better for us as a family and childcare!
That would be great, but sadly only a couple of people would be able to afford to live with less money.A lot of us already work two jobs in order to afford rent/ mortgage, children, food etc
Four day weeks don't normally mean less money, people who work them are usually better off. They get paid the same money usually working longer on the days they work. They're better off financially because their traveling expenses (and also the time they spend traveling) are reduced by one fifth.
I like the idea but I don't think I could do 9h days on the computer, too much for the eyes.
I have a friend who could work twelve hours or more a day on his computer without it being too much for his eyes, he's completely blind! The point I'm making is that computers don't need eyesight to use and are progressively becoming even less dependent on eyesight. Larger screens that don't glare as much already ease eyestrain for the sighted.
Yes as it creates a better work life balance. I also think hybrid working should carry on too as again its better for peoples mental health and people are more productive
