Full English !!!
Ask a Question
Love a full English at the weekend but always think beans ruin it a bit and don't start with putting chips on there !!
What do you NOT like on a fry up
Mushrooms, just because i dont like them cooked but can munch them raw, i'll have an extra slice of bacon instead
neo1 oohh i love mushrooms , i put them in anything and i love them raw too. My son will only eat them raw.
I love mushrooms every type . I always have fresh roasted frozen and dried in and not to forget my homemade mushroom stock @PinkElephant26
I don't like tomatoes, beans, fried eggs, mushrooms as sometimes these can be slimey, fried bread. My grill up consists of Bacon, black pudding, sausages, poached egg and sometimes toast. It sets you up for the day, so it's brunch
Mushrooms and tomatoes, I'm not a massive fan of fried bread either.
Our fry consists of bacon, sausage, potato bread, soda farl, fried egg and beans
They are different types of breads. The first photo is a farl, the second is potato bread. Potato bread is sometimes known as a tattie scone, you use potato instead of wheat. A farl is a type of soda bread. Soda farls are popular in Ulster, where my husband is from and tattie scones or potato bread is popular in Scotland and Northern Ireland. They are both absolutely delicious. We have homemade ones a few times a year.
PinkElephant26 they are very yummy my husband tends to make his own but the ones from Aldi are really good
If i have a breakfast i only have bacon, egg & mushrooms and a slice of toast. I dont like sausages/toms/beans/black pud.
I love it all, even if thereβs black pudding. Every element of it makes it a hearty meal
I love a full English. At home mine is bacon, sausage, mushrooms, extra mushrooms, scrambled eggs a potato cake with hp fruity sauce sometimes bread with cheese spread on
Unless they're home made I would definitely leave hash browns off the plate and I would avoid a 'lacy' fried egg at all costs. Other than that, everything else is welcomed.
Imnotcheap I like them but they just don't seem to have much flavour in them anymore. Much better to make your own with plenty of onion and seasoning.
Imnotcheap grated potato rinsed and squeezed, finely chopped onion, plain flour, an egg and salt and pepper. Mix together and fry. It's a standard recipe for hash browns but it tastes soooo much better than the shop bought. (will dig out the recipe if you can't find one you like the look of)
This is a reliable one to follow and because you're the only one who enjoys them making them yourself means you can freeze them.
What about kippers !! If we stay in a nice hotel I always try kippers as they stink the house out !!
Really dislike mushrooms, smell, flavour, texture is all horrible. Not keen but will eat black pudding. My full english consists of bacon, sausage, bacon, beans, egg, bacon, fried bread, toast, bacon. Possibly an extra egg and sausage and from time to time some hash browns or mini crispy potato things and fried onions
When it comes to full English I'll have literally everything . Love a weekend enjoy 1 but do miss having 1 in the pub .
I donβt like tomato. Beans I tend to agree with you but I drain some of the sauce off them which helps. Got to have haggis on though
Its ok until you start adding all the stuff that has been reesting away in a Butchers waste bin for months ( Black Pudding ) . I'm not a vegetarian but some parts of animals are just NOT meant to be eaten by Human Beings .
Oh I love a good fry up as long as theres no mushrooms or tomatoes or black pudding on it lol the mushrooms remind me of sloppy looking slugs
You should try them in batter . I used to hate them until I had a battered one now I like them in all forms .
I love a Full English. Although I don't have them that often when I do I want the lot. I am often so full that I can't look at food for the rest of the day!
Donβt like tomatoes or mushrooms i like beans but on a breakfast they are cooked in a pan with a dollop of butter until almost mush and they go thick and just a small amount on the side
Black pudding is the only thing I really donβt like on a full English. Iβve tried it several times and just donβt like it.
I like fried bread, but not if itβs soggy, so if itβs soggy fried bread that can be left off too! My uncle always leaves it dripping in fat to the point that itβs more fat than bread, and itβs disgusting, but he enjoys it that way...
