Game of Thrones: Which Character Do You Most Admire?

Ask a Question

For me it's Bronn the sellsword. He makes me laugh because he's brutal with the truth but he has a good heart. He's a product of the hard life he's lived, but underneath he's quite soft. He's very cunning and not to be underestimated.

I know he'll probably die off in Season 8 but I have really enjoyed watching his scenes.

Well done to Jerome Flynn for getting the part just right!

Which character do you most admire & why?

Yes I've enjoyed Jerome Flynn's dry character as well - strange because he's on the wrong side.....depending who you favour. He also took a really convincing part in Ripper Street too.

Thanks for the tip I haven't seen Ripper Street yet.

So who is your favourite game of thrones character overall?

saintsmoney Tyrion has definitely grown within the series. He's found his spine and I've grown to enjoy his humour and his scruples. I also love the gauche but courageous Brienne who is in lust with Jamie.....she'll end up with the hound. 😄 Obviously I enjoy the Jon Snow/Daennerys plot but there are so many good characters it's hard to choose just one. .......and then there's Arya

angemski this reads like a professional review 😂 your passion for game of thrones really comes across. Early on my favourite character was Ned Stark. I became a big fan of Sean Bean after seeing him as Boromir in the Lord of the Rings and then after that in Black Death. When game of thrones appeared it seemed abit too steamy for me so I passed on it, but then a friend convinced me to give it a try knowing I was a Sean Bean fan "you will love it, Sean Bean is in It"- he failed to mention he gets separated from his head in season 1.. but I was hooked by then anyway!

saintsmoney 😂 Believe it or not I was in the same boat as you - watched the whole of the first series and thought 'I've seen better' then some friends were half way through the second series and raved so much I played catch up. Early on I think the gratuitous steamy bits were filling out the plot which seemed a bit thin but thank goodness it improved and I stuck with it. You really need to watch The Medici if you like Sean Bean - another one I enjoyed on a binge watch.

saintsmoney excuse me for pushing in to your conversation but I was surprised you didn't mention Sean Bean in Sharpe. That is when I first saw him and loved him, but sadly we all get old and recently watched him in series 2 of Medici and he looked a bit haggard. Still a good watch though!

Lynibis the field is one of Sean Bean's earlier films, before Sharpe - 1990. It's an excellent movie here's the original trailer:

saintsmoney looks like a good watch. Lots of familiar names, some of which I didn't recognise until the end titles. Will give it a go.

I adore Ser Jorah Mormont, but then I have always liked Iain Glen. I would have liked to have said Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) but as I am a lady of a certain age......................

angemski I did try it, but maybe should try a bit harder. Aquaman was rubbish but a great watch if you get my drift!

Lynibis My husband always finds something else to do when it's on - he says he loses focus AKA he finds it boring - but it does improve.
