Gaming Fortune - Nintendo PlayStation Sells for £230,000

In the News

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-51628836

When I was growing up, all my tech buddies prophesied that there would be some gaming consoles that would prove to be invaluable in the future...

so now in 2020, this rare Nintendo PlayStation sells for 230k

I wonder how much my commodore Amiga 500 will sell for...

I have my old spectrum from the 1980s with some games knocking around somewhere in a box and a sega mega drive with some games. If I thought I could make 230K I would sell it so damn fast.

Lol I reckon at some point in the future you may get quite a bit for them, especially if they’re in good condition. The gaming world is growing fast and retro games are definitely sought after...even though I’m not sure if the younger generation have the patience to wait for disks to load 😂

hspexy I'm not 100% certain it is still in its original box, but yes it is in good condition and was working the last time I used it when I was like 10 or something 😀

Not worth it? This is a piece of gaming history that was made by Nintendo and PlayStation. Fans can only dream of owning this rarity.

It should be in a museum, actually. hspexy

PhilipMarc I do not even know how to switch it on...for me it is an overpriced dust holder 🙂

I read about this. This only sold for $300k which is pretty low considering it's one of a kind, that even Nintendo may or may not own.

The seller was greedy, he was offered over a million by other buyers and ended up selling for a measly $300k.
