In Your Garden Do You Have a Fairy Garden
Other
Hi all hope you are all keeping well. I was just wounding do any of you have a fairy garden. I would love to have one. And I've a very large garden. But what is holding me back from having one is I live on a farm and would it look right. I can't make my mine up. It's all the go to have a fair garden. And the ones I've seen looks lovely lot of hard work go's in and thoughts. What have you done to have a fairy garden in yours.
I actually have no idea what this is! I've never heard the term fairy garden, well I have but I certainly don't think it's what you mean
This is the start of mine but it needs lots more work. If you look carefully there are fairies behind the tree and in front of pic by the large pot.
Lynibis it looks lovely. Love what you are doing to it. I know it's hard work thinking out what to do and wear to put things. I would like to have one but not sure yet if it's in keeping with the farm.
nicolajaynehend they could be farming fairies and you could have some miniature cows, sheep etc.
If you search fairy gardens on Amazon there are some beautiful props.
Rararachel. It's wear people do a part of there garden into a fairy garden it's all the go. Have a look a lynibis picture. And you will see what I mean. The ones I've seen look lovely.
Lynibis thank you so much for your help never thought to do a farming fairies. Yes I will now set to work and do one. Once again lynibis thank you so much for your help off now to have a look on Amazon.
nicolajaynehend Hi, that sounds lovely about having a farming fairies theme. Your fairy garden looks so pretty Lynibis, great picture x
Lynibis you're very welcome x Ah I can imagine, it's been so hot out, tomorrow should be more comfortable to work in
Mine is a toilet for the neighbours cats (11) hence the state of the grass. I am having it paved after covid but meantime concentrating on the fairies.
nicolajaynehend Yeah, we do clean it up every week.
Not a nice job though.
Because it's poo.
And it smells.
Of poo.
I thinks it's a lovely idea. I bought a few bits for a friend, who has young daughters, from Poundland. (they still have some showing online) Not all the items they sold were weatherproof but there were some cute options. I got a slide, toadstool, wishing well and a cottage. As far as I know the girls have looked after their little kingdom and added to it. I don't think it matters how old you are or if you live on a farm - adapt it and enjoy. Don't forget a string of solar lights.
No but I have the underground workings of a burrow that we did have to fill in because of our pet rabbit
Hello Everyone, I am resurrecting this chat as I promised long ago to show you the end result when I finally finished my fairy garden.
After endless fence and brickwork painting, laying heavy sacks of slate and buying lots of fairy houses/caravans it is finally finished, though I expect I will be adding to it as I go along.
As you can see, from old pic above, the paving is also done and garden set finally out. It has cost a small fortune but I can now enjoy my garden fully this year, starting with a bbq on sunday!
Lynbis what a lovely garden you now have to enjoy this lovely weather love you fairy garden you and your family have a lovely bbq on Sunday and I hope you get good weather
nicolajaynehend thank you , nice to hear from you although you may have been around but I am not on chat as much these days. They forecast rain on Sunday here but we will deal with it if it happens lol.

Lynibis I'm asking for a friend....honestly! You've made a cracking job of the garden. I am very much into lighting in the garden and sit out until late so it's a big enjoyment for me. I'm also into veg planting this year - went to my local garden centre mid-morning and picked up some very reduced tomato plants that were too good to refuse.......even though I already have 8 different varieties in situ. (there's always the freezer and sauces)
sunny101 I admire home growers and have grown a few things over the years.
The pics are obviously looking outwards and I will definitely start with tomatoes again next year as I can have several pots by the conservatory doors.
I remember making green tomato chutney with a surfeit one year, it was awful, ended up in the bin!
Hope you have a lovely big crop!
I started on on my allotment many years ago but the grass grew over most but I think it's a great idea.
I think there beautiful, 'd love to do a fairy garden with my daughter when she's a bit older.
i think fairy gardens are so cute iโd love to have one but never have as my garden is so small. maybe iโll make a mini one instead!
