General Chit Chat and NO Virus Talk and 'Smile' of the day :)

Following from how topics change, lets just talk to our LD friends. What are we all up to, other than being confined to house.
Where I am, northeast, it is a lovely sunny and mild day and I wish the builders over the road would b****r off. I'm about to go for essentials but will come back.
Today I'm chilling. Yesterday I cut the grass, which was really exhausting, but it was lovely to be out in the warm sun. Perhaps I'll start some seeds off in pots - I had a bumper crop of tomatoes last year and I'm determined to match it this year. Isn't it amazing how our moods change with a few hours of sunshine?
Well I did plan on doing some ironing sod that am going to take the stroller out garden instead and give it a jet wash seem canβt use kids given up on school work. Am not pressuring them, maybe I will get my ironing done later when sun gone in I let you know
I see all your happy faces in reply to someone have gone! Can't even remember what the 'chat' was.
lilyflower only once I have ever had nails done make up on and a fancy hair do was for my wedding, I just can't be a**ed with it plus the waste of money
lilyflower hi yeah still here little one been playing poblox on phone just bored being stuck in
Ann1984 I don't know how old your little ones are but I posted a freebie to download some work sheets this morning or there's a link on chat 'free resources to download'.

lilyflower before itβs removed I said ah come on is it do you like baked beans or spaghetti tomorrow before you ask I like baked beans with cheese
Ann1984 Something odd going on. The 'facial' thing was there this morning @ 9am but totally gone now @ 10am and it had a few replies but non from OP. Is it 'N' or do you think it might be 'us'?
lilyflower I think it gets reported but donβt understand why keep doing them her points are then removed
Ann1984 We'll see what happens later. Are you not away to Chester Zoo via facebook? It's on all day.

My son can now reach the shelf where his books are kept. So each day he brings me a book from his shelf for me to read. He has 2 books that play a tune and so far these are his favourites! So we listening to twinkle twinkle and if you're happy on a loop as he loves pushing the button ! My husband made pancakes for breakfast and our dog is loving the extra cuddles. I've also done a wash and the dishes have been done too.
It is very difficult to talk about what we're doing, if we are confined to the house but at the moment I am typing a comment on a Latest Deals chat topic - the excitement I feel is overwhelming - as I was writing "overwhelming" my phone rang and it was a blind friend who is also "under house arrest" we had quite a long and interesting chat. That's why it has taken me so long to write this comment.
Hey all well yesterday I attempted cook lasagne for first time and went wrong lol I have been doing housework and catching up on movies reading catch up TV completing comps and looking for freebies (although not a lot free stuff due to lockdown) my mental health been up and down but I'm staying strong.
stay safe all of you hugs xx
Janhrrs its hard everything such worry etc but yeah staying strong and attempting try and cook lol x
Loislane I love baking and cooking from scratch when I'm in the right space in my head, lol. I'm having a lot of mickey taking at the moment because since Sept I've only been out of the house about a dozen times (including the garden ) due to mental health. Finally I'm OK again and ready to get out and about and now we're all in. Oh, the irony
Janhrrs i rarerly went out as I battle various mental health issues but I'm trying stay strong anxiety is the worse made double worse by this virus I'm worrying over everything x aww bless you well we just gotta do what we gotta do then hopefully we can get through this. stay safe x
Janhrrs that's very true I haven't any friends anyway in real life sadly but I am on Twitter with few from here tagging me in the comps lol so that's nice x well I'm here if u need natter x
I'm in the sunny bright North East too, Thought it was an ideal day to start taking down curtains & blinds, clean all windows etc as iv been intending but it was just a brief thought. I decided watching Outlander with a cuppa & biscuits was more appealing, so that's what I'm doing. Think I might do ironing afterwards or I might just listen the that podcast I want to.
I love Outlander but am saving whole series and will have a couch potato day and binge watch. I will try to do something more energetic either side of the day I choose!
Lynibis Well I wont say anything to spoil it for you, only that I'm throughly enjoying it & its cured my boredom today no end. I'm going to watch the latest ep when I have my tea ( quiche & chips if your interested )
Glitterandgold I somehow think food will be a top subject as time goes on. I love quiche but only homemade. I am just as bad, texted sons half hour ago to tell them about my burgers with ketchup, mustard, cheese, onion and tomato, better than McDonalds!
Lynibis I agree food will be a big topic, do you think when things get better a lot of people will realise how much better and cheaper home cooked food is and keep some or all of it going !
keithmorris216 I certainly hope so. There is nothing wrong with an occasional takeaway or fast food treat but I know of folk who eat mostly junk. It is so easy to buy a family pack of mince and make your own Bolognese, eat some and freeze for following week, same with shepherds pie, curry, casseroles etc. And in summer salad can be great with loads of extras like tuna mayo in pasta if preferred, hard boiled eggs, I even throw in some grapes and grated cheese.
See it's working - a chat about nowt. Just returned from Morrisons, 10 min queue to get in (not a problem and only letting 10 in at once), no queue to checkout just follow the yellow cross road. Got eggs (main item), fish, veg and toilet rolls for M in L (major necessity) there and back in 45 minutes - I walk. Wish I still had a garden. PS No free flowers
lilyflower well outside lasted long enough to clean pram until a bumble bee came and little one screamed
I can't help but think that what you were doing because of the thing we're not supposed to talk about, is very questionable lilyflower
I suppose me mentioning it is too.
I have spent the last few hours trying to sort things out for a subscriber to my YouTube channel who wanted the contact details of a friend of the person on my channel who was a friend of his, if you realise how confusing it can be doing this via a blind person without disclosing any contact details online, you'd realise why my brain is hurting and why I'd go back to bed , if I could, I can't because one has to get out of bed before one can return, and I've been too busy to get up yet. I have a very busy afternoon ahead of me too. . . which will last until after midnight.
This "house arrest" thing is very hard work. But never a dull moment.
davidstockport Neither of us mentioned the C V word, just described what we have done with our day, others may do their shopping a different way, up north we always form an orderly queue.
lilyflower That tradition of forming an orderly queue (or "standing in line" - as people in Trumpland call it) seems to be dying out, I notice at bus stops when the bus comes it's usually a case of "nearest to the door first" nowadays. Very annoying when a bus you don't want pulls up before the one you do want and you're near the door of the first one, probably not a problem in your neck of the woods though Lily, have you got more than one bus up there yet?
davidstockport I now live near a bus STATION! not that there are many buses running. You are right though that where I used to live the bus stop along with post box and phone box have gone
davidstockport I should add that M in L is housebound with various problems and I am her source of food and care.
lilyflower I am under instructions not to leave the house - and no food supply source, there is a cat who visits my garden who needs to be very careful if things get too bad.
