Gift Ideas for Someone That Loves Ducks?
Other
This is a bit of an odd request, but I’m trying to think of some ideas for gifts to get for someone that really, really, loves ducks. Her entire house is decorated with duck themed things, she just loves them so much.
She lives alone after her husband died, and she’s struggling a lot with lockdown right now, so I’m trying to put together a few duck themed gifts for her. She’s into crafting and I’ve already got a duck themed cross stitch kit and a duck needle felting kit to try to help her keep busy as she has said she feels like she’s running out of things to do. I was going to order another craft kit too but unfortunately it went out of stock so I wasn’t able to get it. I also got her a duck shaped bath bomb and some socks with ducks on them.
Does anyone have any ideas for anything else I could add? Ideally it needs to not be too heavy or large as I’ll have to post it to her.
Not too sure but Etsy might be a good place to look! Lots of unique and crafty things on there
Lol im not saying anything I had a pet duck we rescued it took it to the vets they said she wouldn't live on her own so we kept her
She actually used to have a pet goose that she rescued! I think she’d love an actual duck too haha
What about some rubber ducks for the bath? You can get themed ones, so if she liked a certain musician you could get a rubber duck version.
I used to love ducks when younger, I had rubber duck earrings, duck ear muffs, duck slippers, duck shaped lip balms and multiple different rubber ducks. My son has a set of rubber ducks that are different work ducks, so police officer duck, Fireman duck etc.
My sister in law used to have a pet duck as they lived next to a Loch, although I doubt a pet duck would be an appropriate present.
Imnotcheap batman duck is very cool. I am imaging him running around singing, na na na na na na na na na na na Batduck!
She has so many rubber ducks already that I’d probably be getting duplicates haha! I had no idea they made duck shaped lip balms so I’ll definitely look into those! Thanks for the suggestions.
Are there any 'duck experiences' where you visit a farm or rescue centre to work with them over the day?
There are some near to her, but she’s also shielding so I don’t think it would be appropriate right now unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion!
Does anyone remember making ducks at school using cardboard rings, googly eyes, cardboard feet, and beak. You'd make the head and body like pom poms, wrap wool round the feet and beak in the right colours glue everything together and voilà... home made duck. Just an idea keep hands and mind busy. Sometimes we would do cardboard wings and wrap wool wool round them too and glue. Depending on teacher
