Are You Giving up Anything for Lent?
Ask a Question
I'm not religious but after my sugar free feb run, I was trying to think of what else I could try and give up for a period of time and Lent is fast approaching.
GlitchHunter Yes doing something achievable is the goal. I ran an event after work and refrained from the hundreds of biscuits yet allowed myself a little bit of cake. It is nice to be social yet not good to eat all the biscuits, and I can really do that sometimes!
Spent early evening with 10 year old grandson and his parents and we asked each other this. The three adults all said chocolate but grandson said sweets as he figures he can still eat chocolate if he gives up sweets lol!
Lol. Not sure how this works but good logic from him! Because technically it's not a sweet is it haha
I never give anything up for lent. If I were to give up chocolate it would only be worth it for me if I was to donate the money saved from not eating chocolate to charity so that it was actually beneficial.
It's beneficial to your health maybe for a bit to not eat it? Do you think it won't be beneficial to your health?
GlitchHunter considering I don't eat it that often, I don't think it would make a difference to my health. I can take or leave chocolate and it is only every so often that I bother with it.
