Good Carpet Shampoo Recommendations Please

I have 3 dogs (1 of them an old lady that sometimes has accidents of the wet kind !) and 3 messy grandchildren. I shampoo my carpets usually once a week, specially in the hallway, to try and keep the house smelling fresh and clean. I have a brilliant shampooer but I’m struggling to find a shampoo that I’m really happy with. I’ve tried the Vax shampoo and think it’s rubbish. I’ve tried several others but not found one that smells good AND cleans well.
I had a Vax quite a few years ago so I know what you mean about the liquid cleaner. I got rid of that and then hired the Rug Doctor machine which worked very well. When I eventually bought another machine I kept buying the Rug Doctor products and they really do the job.
I’ve used a rug doctor before and agree it’s really good as are the products. Why haven’t I thought of buying them to use with my Vax ???

nipperjwb I 2nd the rug doctor brand.. i work in a hotel and we have recently had one delivered.. it has been great so far
