Dogs chase off vicious tiger, saving children from near attack in India village

Watch the video clip here:

A group of playing children closely missed an attack from a tiger that had roamed into their village near the India-Nepal Border – thanks to two heroic dogs that managed to scare the beast away.

This video clip was filmed on August 8 in the Indian village of Katarnia, near Katnariaghat Wildlife Sanctuary

It shows the camera pointing to the ground and shaking as the filmer and other villagers screamed ran in panic.

Towards the end of the clip, two dogs can be seen chasing the tiger away.

Phew!

I truly believe good news is uplifting and can act as an anti depressant. I also believe the rise in depression these days is due to so much bad news on tv, in newspapers, social media and so on. We are inundated with it daily: Murder, rape, violence, hostility, terrorism, tragic events, abuse etc. Never are these items balanced with uplifting good news. Prior to technology people did not have access to this overwhelming amount of depressive knowledge and although bad things still happened it was not at the forefront of our consciousness constantly.

The only way to get away from the constant stream of hate and wickedness is to have time out from technology and spend that precious time with family and friends you love, creating happy memories and having fun.

PS As you will see further down there is another bad news thread which I will not even click as I do not want my day spoiled reading something that will upset me and that I can do absolutely nothing about.

Toddler plays catch with neighbour's dog over the fence

This doesn’t really qualify as ‘news’ as the story appeared back in July on CBS, but it’s a happy story.

Toddlers love to play together, but what happens if your friends aren't coming today and you’re in the garden all alone?

Well if you're very smart, you could always get the neighbour’s dog to play, I guess.

Here’s a video of a toddler in Savage, Minnesota, playing catch with Dozer, a Labrador retriever.

"My son plays with him every time they are both outside" Mrs Richter told CBS News.

As for Dozer's owner, "She says she knows when we are playing with him because he comes inside out of breath," said Mrs Richter

Pretending that there's only good in the world while ignoring the crap that happens leads down a delusional path. No wonder there's safe spaces/zones for people who get easily offended.

Maybe so, but I have never met anyone who pretends there’s only good in the world!
