Have you heard of the 1p savings challenge? You put 1p in a jar on the 1st of January and then every day, you increase the amount by 1p. You can save £670 if you do it for the whole year

See if there are any cheaper companies to be with for electrical bills and put away any spare change at the end of each day this works great!!

We have one day a week with a meal that literally costs pennies, eg jacket potato and beans, put the £2 or £3 you would save in a jar, it soon adds up. Sign up for sites that just want photos of your shopping receipts, may not be the quickest way to make money but for the brief effort it takes you do end up with something, some sooner than others. If you can dedicate say 30 mins a day, sign up to a survey site, I do several and keep a note of what and how often I get paid. Bulk cook Bolognese, chilli, curry. I add grated carrot to Bolognese now, it doesn't spoil the flavour but bulks it out, makes it a bit healthier and goes further. Chilli gets extra kidney beans, onion and pepper. Curry will have allsorts of random leftover veg added to it. Go round your house and see if you can find one thing you no longer want and try to sell it on Facebook or shpock (where you don't get charged) again even if only worth £2 or £3 it soon builds up and becomes a bit if an obsession, lol. If you do that every week you will probably end up with an extra £15-£20 a week. If you have old clothing that has gone past the stage of selling, a lot of areas now have places that will buy old clothes by weight. Anyway, that's enough waffling from me. Good luck, I hope some of it is useful.😊

Follow the rule of do I need it or do i want it. And can u live without it. Try cutting out all the extra bits of food if you buy them and stick to just meals instead of snacking. Try drinking more water instead of juice or tea and coffee so not only do you save money it also helps you become more healthy. If you drive try and walk more. and turn all plugs off at night if you don’t already

I set up an isa and transfer a small amount of money the day I'm paid. As it's only a small amount it's affordable and I don't miss it going out on payday.
