has anyone tried this get a jar on jan 1 and every week add a note to it with something you are grateful for and then the following new year's eve read them all to give you a boost

The only negative thing about this is that a person could get to the end of the year then realise they'd nothing to be grateful for and become depressed... thus ruining the start to the next year.
Perhaps better to just look forward and β« let old aquaintance be forgot β«
