Greasy Frying Pan

Ask a Question

Before I get rid of them. Any tips on removing all the grease which doesn't involve a lot of strength with the hand? Tried elbow grease and it doesn't work.

Scrape it out with a spatula, wipe with kitchen paper, there should now be just a thin layer/residue left heat up with a little water and lots of washing up liquid and wash as normal.

GSM Wooden or plastic unless your pan is stainless steel then you can use a metal one, alternatively any implement that will scrape excess fat out the pan.

That's the way I do it ....we use silicone spatulas ... brilliant things ,,,, having had a septic tank we always had to remove as much fat as possible anyway. Decent W.U. liquid and very hot water will do the rest.

Try spraying with Mr Muscle oven cleaner and leaving for a few hours, then wash in hot soapy water
