Santa will be visiting children virtually this year, as grottos close and Christmas events are cancelled because of coronavirus.
Businesses have switched from planning physical meetings to arranging video calls "to the North Pole" with Mr Claus.
Is this something you would be interested in? How much would you be willing to pay to see Santa this way?
We normally go to the free one at local market. So wouldn't pay more than £1-2 especially cause you wont get presents but it is good idea
Sure I've heard of companies doing video messaging from Santa before
Yes I think £1-£2 is quite reasonable and should be worth it. Otherwise it’ll cost a lot more to get someone you know to get all the bits to dress up as santa
I think that’s a good idea! A great way to still give children that experience but safely - a lot of children are used to video calling relatives so will probably adapt easily to this and still really enjoy it
I probably wouldn't because my little one is too little to get the concept of Santa - we were planning on visiting one for the photo op so seeing him on a screen wouldn't really fulfil that.
I really hope they still do the thing in December where Santa comes out in the lit up slay and roams the streets. It's lovely for the children
My kids are grown up but that made a little sad. However thinking about it, I love the idea of virtual. It feels a little more personal than having to queue up
2020 has taken so much of us already would be great if the little ones could get to the grotto even if they did not get to sit on Santa's knee .
It's probably for the best. Santa and his elves would likely be super-spreaders. They should stay in the North Pole and use Amazon this year
Let's hope Santa uses Prime otherwise shipping could get very expensive for presents under £20.
